COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Oerbier means original, from the spring. This beer has been brewed in small scale (5 gallons). Oerbier is brewed from no less than 6 malts. Poperinge Golding hops in flowers and a special yeast which makes it a little tart, especially with aging. At the brewery we have excellent cellars which have a constant temperature of 8C and allow Oerbier to age at its best. After a couple of years Oerbier tastes like it should have been blended with wine Oerbier has been refermented in the bottle and contains a layer of yeast, having vitamins B. NAT en STRAF on the glasses means WET and STRONG, a warning for the 7.5 vol. alcohol content. The little person on the glasses is the Oerbier man, a simple creature who holds a brewers fork in his right hand, symbolizing the work and science, but looking to the other side, the result of all this, the glass of (Oer)beer. The artwork on the poster is a wallpainting found in Spain, (Altamira) and is considered by art lovers as being the best prehistoric art work (30,000 years BC). On the other hand we have Oerbier started in 1980, going on with the tradition. For more information on Oerbier's recent recipe history, see the following article: http://www.bunitedint.com/Products/de_dolle/oerbier-re_evolution.html

Brown with some orange hue. Pillowy, lasting head which leaves great lacing. Aroma of sweet bread, toffee, house yeast, and light flower. Lively carbonation makes this seem a little less hefty than it is. Good flavor balance of fruity, sweet malt with underlying yeast, and earth flavors. Little damp wood as well. Lingering sweet, tart, and more of a hop presence than expected. Pretty dry. Delicate, and dangerously drinkable. Seems it was gone in just a few gulps. I love De Dolle

F: huge, pale brown, good retention. C: dark brown to black, opaque. A: dark malt, chocolate, figs, dates, overripe red grapes, banana, raisins, caramel, port wine, yeast. T: you have to be quick, cause of the foam coming out of the bottle really fast, malt, port wine, chocolate, cacao, coffee, raisins, dark dried fruits, candy sugar, spicy, full body, medium to high carbonation, very tasty, good balanced beer from this style, worth to try, BB: 09/2016, 0,33l bottle from Prik&Tik Kampenhout.

250ml bottle @Pułapka Gdańsk
Aroma of dried fruit, spices and molasses.
Very creamy and thick off white head over a bit hazy dark brown body
Sweet taste, dried fruit, bread, spiciness, some caramel and alcohol in the finish
Medium body though with nice sticky slick feeling on the tongue
Very tasty classical Belgian beer.

Opaque dark brown with thick lasting beige, foamy, dense head. Aroma is caramel malts, candy sugar, dried plums, berries and soap aromas. Taste starts with sweetish strong alcohol and finishes dry. Plum brandy, red fruits. Metallic notes probably due to the crystal malts used. Heavy body, average carbonation, dry alcoholic finish. Good beer, but the alcoholic backbone is a bit too pronounced.

In der Nase unerwarteterweise nicht viel los. Ein Hauch Malz und Seifenaromen lassen sich erschnuppern. Optisch brennt nichts an. Cool!!! 0,33/3,50. Bottle. BEYOND BEER HH.
