COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stille Nacht (Silent Night) is a prestige beer from De Dolle Brouwers brewed for Christmas. It has the highest density of any Belgian beer (27Pl), has been boiling for 5 hours, brewed with pale malt with white candi sugar in the kettle. The Nugget hops and dry hopping gives an extra bitterness to balance the extreme sweetness due to the density. The taste triangle is completed with some acidity of the fermentation. It is a very interesting beer to age. We have samples of every bottling we have done so far and aging does not mean decreasing quality with this beer. Keep some samples at 10C and mark the year on the cap with an alcohol marker. Cheers!!

Uderza do głowy. Piwo degustacyjne.

February 2017 - 330ml bottle at home in Richmond as De Dolle Stille Nacht, 2012 vintage, 12%. Pours a clear dark orange, highly sparkling, foamy beige head. Aroma is sherry and toffee, tulip floral vibes. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is sugary and very sweet, sherry and red berries, some port wine in the finish. Sweetness is just about kept in check by a soft woody bitterness. I can see why the barrel aged versions of this work so well - its very rich and robust. I like it quite a lot but its quite one dimensional. (3.7)

Bottle from la caisse de bières. Pours a very short white head with sour bays aromas. Deep golden colored body. Long and old hops in mouth with a long spicy and hoppy finish. Lacks carbonation for a perfect result. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
