Poured from a 750 ml bottle.
Aroma is fairly pinot noir forward. Some golden raisin and red grapes. Faint hints of plums and pomegranate. Lighter oak notes and tannins. Light floral notes. Light grassy phenolic notes.
A slight, slow gusher. Pours a fairly clear copper orange with a medium sized, medium thick, white head that recedes steadily to the edges where it lingers for a little bit before disappearing. No lacing or legs.
Flavor is moderately acidic with a light sharpness to it. A light sweetness is present. Moderate notes of raisins, red grapes, pomegranate and plum with hints of cherries. Light tannins and oak notes. Low bitterness. A light grassy phenolic note.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a nice beer, but I like the chardonnay barrel more. The fruit profile on this is a bit darker and more acidic which accentuates the already over-acidic (in my opinion) saison. It was also a slow gusher which ranks it less favorably than the chardonnay barrel version. On the positive though, while the barrel characteristics are rather prevalent they donít dominate as much as the chardonnay barrel did.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate orange peel, grapefruit, vinous notes, and a touch of must. Itís a cloudy dull orange with a small off-white head that fades to a minimal film outlined by a thin ring. The flavor starts with tart citrus. The finish has tart citrus, orange peel, grapefruit, vinous notes, and a touch of must. Itís light bodied with mild carbonation.
Bottle thanks to northernbrews. Aromas are lime, red grapes and musty hay. Tastes moderately sour. Strong red wine and lemon. Pretty solid. dfroms (477) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - MAR 14, 2015

750 ml bottle via trade. Pours a clear gold color with a small off-white head. Notes of vanilla, grapes, oak, lemon, yogurt, leather, herbs and spices, and lime. Light-bodied, with a tart but smooth mouthfeel and low to moderate carbonation. More rounded than sharp. Picks up some vinous notes that donít overpower. Nice collaboration here. 750ml bottle, thanks to phaleslu for sharing. Thin off-white ring of head. Hazy orange peach color. Super nice oaky, mild lemony, mild spicy, some begian yeastiness, and mild vinous tannic aromas. Love it. Probably my favorite aroma of this tasting so far. Medium-plus body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Mildly slick, good dry aspect to the taste, too. Moderate-plus sour taste, light to moderate sweet, mild spiciness. Really dig it. Great sour farmhouse. GothGargoyle (2587) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 26, 2014
Orange with a good pale head. Aroma is brett funk, citrus peel, green olive, peppercorn. Light-medium bodied, well balanced palate with a nice tartness and a slightly dry finish. Taste is orange peel, brett funk, lemon peel, green peppercorns, Pinot noir. Fantastic. Lukaduke (3206) - Gray, Maine, USA - NOV 16, 2014
Bottle shared thanks to JBPortland ! Pours a hazy golden straw color with a finger of white fizz. Nose is murky barnyard funk, floral fieldgrass and some hints of vinous fruit. Palate follows the nose with interesting layers of guava, toasted grain, berry skins, mushroom, wet oak, tart earthy cherry. Nice lingering foggy grain. 750ml bottle pours hazy dark orange with medium head. Nose is barny funk, round vinous grape, wet wood, and fruits with shadows of the classic De Garde horse stable funk. There is a faint hint of band-aid/plastic but very little. Taste is crisp, balanced acidity, some subtle band-aid notes but they stay out of the way for the most part, old wet wood, soft red wine, some field hay, grape and dark berry. Finish is funk, funk, and more funk, some nice interwoven wine notes and oaky character. I prefer the Chardonnay barreled version but this is solid.
