Lots of tart, tart cranberries throughout the nose and flavor and the second use gin barrels lend a helping hand by bringing out the funk from the fruit (with the help of the funky yeast as well of course.) Poured from bottle to glass. Pinkish red hue with light pink fizzy head. Aroma is lactic, straw, oak, cranberry, funk. Taste is dry throughout with a nice tart sourness that continues through and combines with a nice funkiness in the finish. Mouthfeel is great with a medium light body and zesty carbonation. Generously shared by one of the fine Portland RB folks at a tasting - Pours murky pinkish / red with a white head. The aroma has cranberries, sweet/tarts, light spice, sharp wheat and some bugginess. It has a medium / light body that is very crisp and has medium sharp carbonation. Initial taste has lots of sweet / tart funkiness, bugs, cranberries, raspberries and pretty good amount of acidity. A: Red grapefruit color with a nice white head.
N: Cranberry, grapefruit rind, lemon, some sugars. Glue/acetone intertwine.
T: Sweet-tart, more on the sour side.
M: Nice and light. Big carbonation.

Bottle at a recent RB tasting... Poured hazy, pale reddish pink with an off-white head. Nice tart, wheated beer with mild funk, brine, acidity and cranberry fruitiness. Nuanced and delicate with a nice sourness carried through.

Bottle shared at Duntís Tasting (Chicago, IL). Pours a nice berry orange hue, well hazed with cranberry, lemon and lactic acidity. Touches of crisp bread, flaked wheat and straw. Initial is lighter end of the fold, nice yogurt and tart cranberry. Lemony, a bit dry and lactic, a touch flabby on carbonation. Middle is tart, cranberry, touch of cherry, grapefruit and lemon. Backend is a bit crisp, more cranberry touches, tart and spritzy. A bit bready, dry with nice tart and gentle berry finish. Itís light, itís quite approachable. Bottle @ His Great Return Tasting. Cheers to Bruce for bringing the best of the northwest! The pourís hazy pink with a small white head. The nose is refined sugar. A bit of yogurt. Mild acid. Blueberry jam. The taste has notes of smoked herbs, grass. Tart forest fruit compote. Clean, nimble. Light body, crisp on the palate. Overall, quite nice. Good economy of flavor. Hazed reddish orange with a moderate off white swirl atop the glass.
Nose is tangy berry fruits, liqourice, light strawberry punch, sweet pangs, fruit berry crumble.
Taste comprises tangy red berry sherbet, strawberry liqourice, light woody snap.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp tarte close with berry zing.

Jack is back tasting at Bruceís. Thanks to Bruce for this one. Murky peach coloured beer, small pale peach coloured head. Palate is dry and crisp. Seltzer salts. Nice floral sherbet. Tart fruits. More seltzer and sherbet. Dry crisp finish. Tasty number.
