Poured from a bottle. Aroma is nice with quite a bit of tropical fruit and some lighter stone fruit. Mango, rambutan, pineapple with some medium light citrus. Some light rye notes. Lighter barrel character with a nice white wine note. Pours a murky, dull, copper orange with a medium large, medium thick, slightly off white head that steadily recedes to a thin film that lingers for a bit. No lacing or legs. Flavor is fairly acidic and the acidity is fairly sharp. Lots of pineapple with some lighter citrus notes. Some light tropical fruit character as well. Light rye spice. Medium light oak notes with some white wine character. Low bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer but far from my favorite de Garde. The acidity is far too sharp and the fruit notes are fairly one dimensional. I think the rye works well with the barrel, but I just wish the acidity and pineapple were not as strong.

750 ml. Aroma is Sour. Lots of oak. Taste is Sour, it’s very different. The sour and tartness first hits the middle of your tounge And then slowly spreads to coat your entire mouth. Never drank something that gave that sensation. The some rye comes in at the end.

Bottle: The aroma consists of sour citrus, rye, lemon, and herbal notes. It’s a hazy dull dark orange with a small white head that quickly fades to a minimal film outlined by a thin ring. The flavor starts with moderate sour citrus The finish has moderate-heavy sour lemon, light-moderate rye, and some faint white wine notes. It’s light bodied with moderate carbonation.

Pours a hazy golden orange from the bomber with bubbly white head that quickly dissipates to leave little to no lace. Aroma of sweet funky oak notes over lactic fruit. Taste follows, wow, big barrel and even bigger funky sour. Amazing, my first experience with this brewery.
