Poured a muddled apple juice color with aromas of pineapple, guave, hay, light fruit and some wet oak. Flavors March the aromas light sourness and funk, with some fruit and light mango and pine apple. Solid and enjoyable can’t wait to see what the other 2 blends offer.

Pour out of 750 mL bottle, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of bread, dough, lemon cleaner, some slight grain, hints of earth, slight yeast, touch of chemical. Taste was a mix of sour lemon, funky, chemical notes into a bit of earth, yeast, slight grain, finishing tart. Wow this is not good.

Bottle @ Steve_0 during my 10k tick fest. Pours a hazy golden orange appearance with a thin white head. Lime spicy, lemon, soda, green herbal aroma. Fairly tart. Grass, lemon, guava, mild funk, and a bit of oak. Not crazy good but fun.

Bottle. Pours a hazy peach color, no head. Aroma is big Brett C pineapple funk, guava, strawberry, lemon, nicely fruity with good tartness. Taste is sour pineapple and apricot fading into lemon juice and oak. On the simple side, but very pleasant.

Bottle at home. Pour is clear orange with a big white head and decent lacing. Aroma is full of spice - hibiscus, tumeric, cracked peppercorns, and lavender - lighter notes of vanilla, oak, some lemons, and grass. Taste is big juniper, hibiscus, spruce tips, citrusy, black pepper, oak notes, grassy, white grapes, and hibiscus with a big spicy finish. Medium body with crisp carbonation. Very interesting beer with a ton of spice notes and heavy oak influences, though the juniper/hibiscus notes are very prominent and kind of remind me of a Sahti.

Received in a trade. Stored upright for about 6 weeks. Split the 750 5-ways which was a mistake

A - Really nice golden clarity, fluffy head that faded semi-quick to a light thin ring.

S - t. Lots of spice and peppercorn and Indian food spice with mushrooms Brett. Very interesting.

T - Loads of rose petal floral tastes. Spicy up front, honey and lime finish. Oily and coats the tongue with a fleeting lime only remainder when it’s gone. I get a little bit of apple and persimmon.

M - Nice dry mouthfeel at the finish but not as crisp as I was hoping. A bit too oily

O - This is still a fantastic saison! Really clean, lovely enjoyable. Classified here as a wild ale which is fine but has a lot of saison character.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a cloudy orange with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong yeast, brett, oak, funk. Medium mouthfeel with light dry wheat, oak, lingering dry finish. Good.

Bottle... Muckfest 2014... Cloudy peach-colored pour with a tiny, brief, white head. I’m diggin’ on the shit-ton of fruity peach and nectarine with a hint of mango that the nose supplies. Medium-bodied with Key West carbonation. The flavor is lightly tart and biscuity flanked by a hint of farmhouse yeast spiciness.

GothGargoyle (2588) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 16, 2014
Cloudy orange with a pale head. Aroma is spruce, juniper, apricot, peach, hint of funk. Medium-full bodied, fruity on the palate. Taste is peach, apricot, spruce, herbs. Tasty.
