Stubby bottle 33cl. Cloudy medium amber color, small frothy off-white head, dissipates quickly, thin layer remains, light lacing; aroma fruity, apricot, sourish, aniseed; taste moderate sweet and bitter, fruity notes; medium body, oily texture, spicy mouthfeel, average carbonation, finish continuation of the taste, distinctive herbal presence; the beer needs some time to open itself, not your typical Belgian blonde because of the herbal touch, but quite nice anyway.

33cl bottle from Sterk Avondverkoop. Thick white head. Hazy golden pour. Herbal afteraste. Not a bad blond beer.

Aroma of light malt, fruit, citrus, some yeast, peppery notes, light hop. Flavour is moderate sweet, with a moderate bitter finish. A bit of a run-of-the-mill Belgian ale.

Vells (1849) - Rīga, LATVIA - OCT 18, 2014
Feels bit like fruit water with some yeast, light maltiness in background, some spices. Mostly sweet. Low ABV for Belgian, yet its still not very well balanced. Drinkable nothing special brew

Pretty decent, I like the fruity aroma mild mixing with malt. Taste is bit sweet and can feel more of a yeast. I like

Icedwarf (1657) - Etten-Leur, NETHERLANDS - OCT 5, 2014
Donkergeel bier met schuim. Smaak is hoppig bitter en licht zuur citrus achtig, sporen van koriander. Smaak blijft redelijk lang hangen. Niet echt bijzonder maar zeker niet slecht.

Alengrin (5382) - BELGIUM - AUG 10, 2014
Blonde with off-white, rocky, quickly collapsing foam but staying stable nonetheless; colour a deep peach, orangey blonde, cloudy. Pleasantly fruity aroma, orange, apple, caramel, coriander, aniseed, cloves, cheese, honey, pepper. Fruity and softly malty taste, nice spicy tones making the palate come alive, drying towards the finish with mild herbal hoppiness. Bit different from the normally straightforward top-fermented blonde thirst-quenchers produced by many a Belgian brewer.

Ruikt best ok en ziet er lekker uit, maar de smaak is nogal teleurstellend vond ik.

Drinking a bottle I’ve had in the cellar for about a year. Pours a clear crisp blond with a solid bright white head. Little in the way of aroma, neither good nor bad, neutral clean with a slight hint of Belgian yeast. Tastes like a blonde, so no surprise, very clean tasty well made beer. Taste is light for being 6.5% probably mellowed over the past year. Overall this is a very nice easy drinking blonde. It doesn’t stand out especially, but shouldn’t be overlooked for those who enjoy a complex very well balanced beer.
