Gushing to huge brownish head; orange-amber beer. Very fruity nose, citrus-orange, Mandarine Napoleon, spicey too. Taste is spicey, as nutmeg and swet spices: cardemom, maybe cinnamon. Yet main flavour is sweet, liquorice like and citrussy. Rather thin mouthfeel for such a laden beer. Too sweet for my tooth. For the amateurs of liqueur-like beers. (swing top bottle, purchased at the brewery) Almost clear, deep golden colour with a short creamy white layer. Sweet (cara-)malty and nutty aroma with flowery hoppy notes and loads of spices (anise, coriander). Toast-malty and distinctively nutty taste with light spicy notes. Medium-dry, sweet-bitter, slightly toasty and nutty finish with hints of flowery hops and light spicy notes (06.I.09). jmgreenuk (9452) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - OCT 8, 2015
Bottle from somewhere in NL. Gushed a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is toffee caramel yeast, light floral. The flavour is moderate sweet with a toffee yeast malt alcohol palate. Medium bodied with super lively carbonation. gunnar (9094) - Sandnes, NORWAY - APR 8, 2011

Sweetish and a bit stale perfume-like aroma with citrus. Sweet flavour too with citrus and a bit bitter aftertaste. Some candi sugar and orange peel too. Good and drinkable, but could be more refreshing.
Bottle. Thanks Pinball. Amber body with a medium off white head. The aroma is caramel, spices, yeast and dark fruit. The flavour is fruity tea like with some spices and caramel. Full bodied. lusikka (7813) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 2, 2011

Pours a copper colour with a very small and thin white head. Aroma of strong apricot, citrus and malts. Flavour of apricot, malts, some floral hops and barnyard notes. Dry, malty finish. This should be more refreshing and less malty.

500 ml swingtop bottle, kindly shared by my beerpal Ivar. ABV is 6,5%. Hazy amber colour, minimal head. Aroma of sweet wort and caramel, hints of oak and honey. Low carbonation. The flavour is not as sweet as the aroma makes you expect, but is still malty with hints of caramel, and has tolerable hops in the finish. caesar (7153) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - MAR 28, 2004
UPDATED: APR 10, 2004 Slightly hazy orange color, short lasting head. Very spicy aroma, some yeast which is typical for de hemel, some caramel malts, quite peppery, nutmeg. Spicy and yeasty taste, some orange. Nice palate.
