UPDATED: APR 10, 2004 Slightly hazy orange color, short lasting head. Very spicy aroma, some yeast which is typical for de hemel, some caramel malts, quite peppery, nutmeg. Spicy and yeasty taste, some orange. Nice palate. mike_77 (7089) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - JUL 26, 2012
Bright copper colour. Herbal, slightly medicinal aroma and some vegetable stock. Flavour also has strong herbal taste and overall is rather sweet. Some bitter orange and ginger come through too. Countbeer (6599) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - MAY 26, 2012
Medium off white head, disappears really slow and a leaves a closed off white lacing on top of an dark orange darker amber colored beer.
Smell barley, barley malts, soap, shampoo, soapy barley wine.
Taste is a very nice mix of barleys, barley malts, some hops and floral hop bitters, herbs, autumnal herbs, floral herbs, mint herbs, some darker fruits and sweets but just a hint. Very nice balanced.
Aftertaste of low bitterness with a barley and batley malted sweetness. Nit sweet but nicely balanced, again.
Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, good medium bodied and a light watery light creamy texture.
This is a nice beer, specially when watching a band play, could absorb liters of this stuff easily. blutt59 (6579) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 16, 2013
bottled, thanks to bu11zeye at preBTBF tasting, clear golden with white foam, nice fruity body with fruity yeast aroma, finish is medium bodied SinH4 (6258) - Garching b. Mnchen, GERMANY - SEP 22, 2016
Tap. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is spicy, peppery, yeasty. Taste is spices, some grains. Silky mouthfeel. Quite boring, but the spicing is fun.

Bottle thx to benzai. Light amber to golden colour with a decent, soft creamy white head. Smells barnyard, some orangepeel, malts, some ’cheap asian pilsener’ notes. Tastes malty, bit fruity but not very fresh. Not bad, not great. Good carbo, medium body. Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 21, 2007
Cloudy dark golden beer. Large slowly diminishing 1cm head of white and lasting foam. Yeasty, estery, flowery and slightly citrusy aromas. Mildly toasted malts beginnings quickly switch toward flowery and lemony hops. Fair supporting body all through. Quite simple in its maltiness, not developing too much flavours (surprising feature for De Hemel!), but comfortable and smooth. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - AUG 26, 2013
Orange pour with a white head. The aroma has some biscuit and toffee notes. The flavor is similar with some toffee, grass, alcohol and ginger. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Emil (6064) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 20, 2005
Bottle. Amber colour with a white head. Sweet dark fruits, spicy aroma and taste. Medium body and a sweet dry finish. erickok (6036) - Leuven, BELGIUM - DEC 28, 2012
Golden bodied with low carbonation and off white small head. Medium sweet aroma from the caramel and peach like malts. Some added cinnamon and cardamon spices. White Raisins as well. Taste starts spicy sweet, like cookies or spiced pie. Later the bitterness is more pronounced. It doesn’t have many dimensions and generally doesn’t hit the right spot for me. Malty and hopless can be okay, but this one doesn’t convince. (50cl bottle from my secret Sinterklaas, thanks!)
