Golden bodied with low carbonation and off white small head. Medium sweet aroma from the caramel and peach like malts. Some added cinnamon and cardamon spices. White Raisins as well. Taste starts spicy sweet, like cookies or spiced pie. Later the bitterness is more pronounced. It doesn’t have many dimensions and generally doesn’t hit the right spot for me. Malty and hopless can be okay, but this one doesn’t convince. (50cl bottle from my secret Sinterklaas, thanks!) Christos (5979) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - DEC 7, 2013
Bottle 500 ml, bought at the brewery. ABV 6.5%. Poured into a tulip glass.
Deep golden orange colour on the body, with a light haze in it. Two fingers of mostly white head, thick, with very good retention. Medium lacing left on the glass.
Aroma is light fruity, with some floral notes too and mostly grains, but the combination with the fruit notes makes it quite good. Some yeast and clear malts present as well, after a deep sniff.
Taste has some yeast and quite a few spices, cardamon seeds, little bit of an orange peel.
Medium thin body, good carbonation. Quite dry palate.
Overall quite good, certainly the best I had from De Hemel till now between their bottled selection. altonbrownd (5898) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - MAR 5, 2009
On tap at 11 Meibockfestival (Amsterdam, May 2008). Golden body with slight head. Nose of malts, sugar and spices. Strong taste of malts, caramel and spices. Some bitterness in the finish. Nice. BoBoChamp (5755) - Gent, BELGIUM - AUG 17, 2010
50cl, at 6.5%Vol, Dutch brewery, from Melger’s Haarlem, not complex brew, spicy, yet balanced, clear, small head, nice Summer brew, yet expensive! thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 14, 2005
Golden colour. Pours with a big head. Spicy hop aroma. The sweetness is (over-?)balanced by almost harsh bitterness. The body is more than medium and it is soft on the palate. A better than average blond, though the flavour does not quite live up to expectations from the appearance and the aroma.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2008 Draught at the Arandsnest, Amsterdam. Bright copper color with creamy head. Sweet parfumy aroma with orange, pepper and spices. The same elements are present in the taste along with berryish twist, malt, vanilla and some buttery taste. Very tasty and balanced.
Tasted again from bottle in December 2007: Less fermentation aromas and flavors, more malt and caramel 6-3-6-3-13. The draught sample was definitely better. jbrus (4989) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - MAY 29, 2005
Bottled. Sweet perfume and flowers aroma. Lovely! Amber color, off-white head, good lace. Sweet, very malty, lots of hops, light sourness and citric (orange). Quite warming for a beer with only 6% ABV. Bullit (4894) - Buffalo, New York, USA - MAY 14, 2008
Tap @ Kafe Belgie. Dark golden colour, dense medium head. Nose has orange hops and coriander. Taste is fruity, with oranges and apples, along with some spices. Not a complex beer, refreshing though. Martinus (4806) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - SEP 13, 2011
Hazy slightly pale amber colour, white head. Fruity aroma, orange peel, apricot, citrus fruits. Wheat and some caramel. Flavour of sweet malts, some yeast character and fruity apricot and citrus. Finish slightly bitter and very fruity.sic1314 (4773) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - APR 22, 2013
I like this beer very much when it’s fresh, but there have been older versions around that I didn’t enjoy quite as much.
(Draught @ the brewery)
Poured a bright amber with a tight white head. Aroma of soft caramel malt and dark fruit. Medium, creamy body, flavour of spiced orange and dark fruit and toffee-ish malt.
