Bottle. Pours hazy darker orange in color with an off-white head. Burnt grainy notes, old rubber, hints of garden fruityness and smoky notes in aroma. Bitter and sweet notes in taste with a touch of smoke as well. Quite soft mouthfeel. Faint spicyness and malty sweetness in the end. Pleasant one. teorn88 (7682) - Rimini, ITALY - DEC 30, 2014
Backlog rating. Bottle at Caspar tasting at Chriso’s, London. A well balanced smoked beer with a nice malty sweet base and some roasty bitterness as the base for a balanced woody smokiness. Quite liked it Franksv6 (942) - Tiel, NETHERLANDS - NOV 15, 2014

Forgetfu Tasting at ChrisOs. Lightly hazy amber beer, residual pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Sweetish dry malts, little toffee - caramel. Light dried fruits. Mild bitterness in the dry finish. Okay, just a bit tired tasting,
Bottle shared in London. Pours clear amber with a frothy, light tan head. The nose has candied meats, some brown sugar, caramel, light smoke. Medium sweet flavor with further smoked meat, caramel, ripe berries, light leaves. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary, malty finish, moderate smoke, ham, candied sugars, berries. Pretty solid. PotjeBier (3350) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - FEB 16, 2014
50 cl swingtop bottle thanks to secret Santa. Amber to light red-brown color. Dense, off-white head. Aroma’s: malt-sweet, light smoke. Retronasal the aroma is more outspoken: caramel sweetness, smoke, some red fruit. Flavor is light sweet, light smoky, light bitter. Medium bodied. Finish is light roasted, light bitter. Nothing extreme, but flavorful enough and well crafted. JulienHuxley (5809) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 11, 2014
On tap at In de Wildeman. Hazy copper pour, lacy white head. Faint caramel aroma, butterscotch, vanilla, smokiness is there, but very subtle, just a touch. Taste is nutty, light smokiness, sweet, fruity, light vegetal hoppiness, light roasted flavors. Med bodied, light carbonation. Good. Christos (5791) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - DEC 18, 2013
Swing top bottle, 500 ml, poured into a tulip glass at home. ABV 6.5%
Very dark orange copper, almost red colour on the body, with a tall and thick off white head. Good retention, medium lacing remains on the glass. Body is crystal clear with continuous slow activity in it.
Aroma has just a touch of smoke, enough but not anything extreme. Aroma of malts is following, along with some spices.
Taste is lighty smokey at first, followed by a malty sweetness and fruity flavours such as green apples.
Medium thin body. Carbonation is soft, a bit low though.
Overall a good beer for someone who wants to start with smoked beers as it’s not overwhelming.
