The heaviest one, rich of taste, colour and body, a nice balance in spite of the high alcohol content.

{thoughts} Minus off-putting fusels a pleasant enough fusion of barley wine and Belgian strong ale, though without uniqueness.

{elements} Clear, copper hue; sparkling carbonation; tight, white cream. Aroma of caramel and raisins with herbal teases and a dose of oranges; harsher fusel alcohols appear with warmth. Heavy sweetness is tempered well by moderate acidity and bitterness; flavors of caramel, peaches and pineapples. Medium-full body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. 100 cl bottle @ GP Tuulensuu.

Eructoblaster (4330) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 30, 2017
Bottle - 330ml. Hazy amber/copper body with an average, slowly fading, off-white foamy head. Good malty aroma with caramel and hoppy hints. Alcohol is discreet. Its well balanced malty/hoppy taste carries barley sugar, woody, and fruity notes. Ends with a robust, long, warming bittersweet finish. Good stuff.

Smaakt lekker, vol mondgevoel, maar niet zo uitgesproken als je verwacht bij een gerstewijn. Aardig

Bottle 33cl. Poured into a trappist glass. Clear deep amber, small frothy beige head, mostly diminishing, fair lacing; aroma roasted malts, caramel, dark fruits, apricot, candy sugar, alcohol; taste heavy sweet, roasty, fruity, treacle, spicy and acidic notes; vinous sweet and light bitter aftertaste, malty, spicy, acidic, warming alcohol; full-bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation; okay.

Svesse (8752) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - APR 2, 2017
(Bottle, De Drie Dorstige Herten, Utrecht, 24 Feb 2017) Reddish amber colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with dried fruit, caramel and treacle toffee. Malty, fruity taste with notes of apricots, red fruit, caramel and a slightly vinous, spicy finish with a light acidity. Full body, with balanced sweetness. Tasty and warming with some alcohol shining through. Nice one.

Bottle shared by Björn thanks. No head and much debris in the bottle. Old and matured malty aroma and taste. Mild bitterness and smooth caramell.

DijkBier (518) - AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - JAN 16, 2017
Clear ruby brown pour with tan head, that quickly diminishes. The aroma is dark malts, sweet, caramel, vanilla, brown sugar. The taste is also quite sweet, with the same elements (roasted malts, brown sugar, caramel), but also some plums and raisin. It’s a nice beer, but I hoped for more richness regarding the sugary taste, and for more balance in the bitter; now it’s a little too sweet for my taste.

ElDesmadre (3630) - Mikołów, POLAND - DEC 21, 2016
Draught at the brewpub. Sweet, full, sticky, boozy in an elegant way, full malty, with notes of rhubarb and red fruit cake. Warming finish. Very good.

Koelschtrinker (21371) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - SEP 22, 2016
Schwerer, alkoholisch süßer Antrunk in dem das brotige Malz erst einmal im Hintergrund steht. Moderat würzig, zuckrig. Schädelbier. 9/8/7/7//8
