Bottle @ Paters Vaetje, Antwerpen. Clear medium amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, toffee, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. (The sweetnes is malt and sugar). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 33 cL bottle. Pours golden and clear orange with a little lacing off-white head. Light spiced aroma. Flavour is spiced and caramel malt. Classic De Koninck flavour with a tripel flavour. Ends lingering spiced. Light and straight forward. Ungstrup (38958) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 7, 2004
An amber beer with a small disappearing head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and alcohol. And the flavor is just like the aroma. joergen (29624) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 26, 2006

Deep golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is alcohol, sweet malts, spices and quite much grass. Flavour is the same, spices, sweet malts, alcohol and some hints of grass.
Bottle. Bright golden color, large white head. Peppery, malty, and a bit sweet. Pretty decent example of the style. omhper (25956) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAY 30, 2008
UPDATED: SEP 4, 2008 Bottled. Clear amber, minimal head. Ashy fruity caramel aroma. Sweet and dusty with notes of paper, vegetables and dried fruits. Simple and rather thin. Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 15, 2005
UPDATED: JUL 2, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Amber-coloured with a quickly fading head that does leave some lacing though. Some impurities afloat in the brew although no bottle fermentation - De Koninck has no real tradition for that. Mostly this beer is just plain sweet - actually way too sweet. The Saazer hops are on a hopeless mission trying to balance out the sugars. Doesn’t remind me of a Tripel at all. Very disappointing De Koninck. 150505 fiulijn (21516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 22, 2004
Golden color. Ordinary Strong Ale, the residual sweetness (with some malt taste) makes of it an easy drinkable one, nevertheless with a quite strong final bitterness. Hides quite well the alcohol content. harrisoni (19553) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 24, 2005
Draught at Kulminator. Deep copper colour with lasting thin beige head. Some tangerine, yeast and lime as well as malt and candy sugar. Smooth in mouth, good mouthfeel actually. Tangerine/lime fruit on finish. Not too sweet and extremely pleasant.
