Bottle @ Kerstbierfestival 2006 in Essen, BE. Amber red color with a good off-white head. Aroma is malty, roasted, fruit, hops. Flavor is nice balance of sweet and bitter with a average duration. yespr (48916) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - DEC 7, 2006
75 cL bottle. Pours with whith and short-living head. Clear smell of of "De Koninck"-hops. Elements of yeast too. Taste is classical de Koninck with hops and malt. On top of this is a sweet taste of cinnamon together with vinous fruity/fig-like taste. Almost creamy texture but still light bodied. I’m not much of a De Koninck fan, this is better than their other beers, but still not amongst the best Belgian seasonal ales. Ungstrup (38941) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 8, 2003
