COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This special ale has been developed in honour of the brewing in the late Middle Ages when the farmers could not work in the fields during the winter months and therefore had time to devote themselves to brewing ale. Winter Koninck is a deep amber-coloured top-fremented ale with 6.5% Alc. vol. and a full-bodied flavour.

Daanminator (476) - Waalwijk, NETHERLANDS - DEC 24, 2015
Mooie robijnrode kleur met flinke schuimkraag. Zeer zoet aroma en in de mond ook redelijk zoet. Vind hem beter dan het origineel.

As Winter, bottle 33cl. Clear amber brown, large foamy beige head, half-way lasting, good lacing; aroma is roasted malts, fruity, light caramel; taste is medium sweet and bitter, toffee, light red fruit; medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste is bittersweet, roasty, spicy notes; ok strong ale, despite its name I don’t consider this as a winter beer .

On tap at Zilt, Amsterdam. Amber color, good foam. Medium aroma intensity; honey , fruitiness , malt and light dried fruits. Medium body & complexity . A little on the sweet side. A pretty ok beer, but too sweet and dominated by honey for my taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
