2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
25cl bottle. Bronze body, minimal head. Weak caramelly and minerally aroma. Weak caramelly taste with minimal hoppiness. Shockingly bland - the ale characteristics are all muted, this could very well be just a caramel lager.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2017 A splendid offering from Antwerp. A lovely drink, a little like a bitter. Or possibly even Newcastle Brown Ale. If you drink it all evening you will be well pleased by the experience. Thank you to the Antwerp City Brewery. Daboch (102) - Gdansk, POLAND - OCT 12, 2017
Bursztynowe z ładną białą pianą. Aromat owocowy, trochę śliwki i rodzynek. W smaku podobnie finisz wytrawny. Świetny przykład belgijskiego pale ale

Amber, wit a thin white head. Aroma light, a bit plum and a bit raisin. Sweet fruit starts the taste together with some yeastiness and both fades for a balanced bitterness. Except for the color very much like a typical Belgian blond.

At Keepers, Tomares. Malty, sweet caramel notes, very smooth feel, easy to drink. I miss a more bitter end, less mild, but its pleasant. Maybe, light cherries in nose. Good, long lasting and smooth foam thejackpacker (577) - East Sussex, ENGLAND - SEP 21, 2017
Bottle from BierLand, Belgium. A decent ale; I suppose an Antwerp ale is a mix of English Pale, Belgian Strong and APA. It has that vevelty wine taste of a Belgian strong, the palate of an English pale and some caramel of an APA. It's fine but nothing cray. martjoobolut (4947) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 12, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 23, 2017 Bottle (from koht), bb 05.2015. Pours amber. Aroma is sweet, caramel, malt. Flavor is sweet, sugar, malt, some fruits. Body is watery. Carbonation is quite high. Overall: ok, should try fresher version, this is clearly past its prime (hence generous rating).

tap at arsenaal. More bitter, less watery. Rating would be about same.
At Ribs ’n Beer, Bruges. Pours hazy light amber/dark golden with a small, lasting, off-white head. The aroma contains malt, caramel, hops and some spices. It tastes light to medium sweet and light to medium spicy bitter with a dry finish. Light body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. A very easy drinker. daniele (9550) - ITALY - JUL 28, 2017
