I'm surprised that the score is low for this beer. I am honestly not much of an amber fan, but this is a delicious beer. Great aroma of cherry with a smooth, sweet taste hinting at cherry and plum. Very different from US brewed Ambers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber, wit a thin white head. Aroma light, a bit plum and a bit raisin. Sweet fruit starts the taste together with some yeastiness and both fades for a balanced bitterness. Except for the color very much like a typical Belgian blond.

At Keepers, Tomares. Malty, sweet caramel notes, very smooth feel, easy to drink. I miss a more bitter end, less mild, but its pleasant. Maybe, light cherries in nose. Good, long lasting and smooth foam

Bottle from BierLand, Belgium. A decent ale; I suppose an Antwerp ale is a mix of English Pale, Belgian Strong and APA. It has that vevelty wine taste of a Belgian strong, the palate of an English pale and some caramel of an APA. It's fine but nothing cray.

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2017 Bottle (from koht), bb 05.2015. Pours amber. Aroma is sweet, caramel, malt. Flavor is sweet, sugar, malt, some fruits. Body is watery. Carbonation is quite high. Overall: ok, should try fresher version, this is clearly past its prime (hence generous rating).
tap at arsenaal. More bitter, less watery. Rating would be about same.

At Ribs ’n Beer, Bruges. Pours hazy light amber/dark golden with a small, lasting, off-white head. The aroma contains malt, caramel, hops and some spices. It tastes light to medium sweet and light to medium spicy bitter with a dry finish. Light body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. A very easy drinker.

Brown, cloudy pour with lots of sediment. Small beige foam. Malty nose, mostly caramel and maybe some toasted malts and dried fruit. Malt dominates the flavor with some spicy citrus notes. Well balanced, very little bitterness and a fairly clean finish. My expectations may have been too high.

Vanuit de historie, vele bezoeken aan Antwerpen, een klassieker voor mij. Heerlijk om dit aldaar op een terras uit een Bolleke te drinken.

Bottle. Pours dark amber, white head not really lasting. Aroma is malty and heavy. Labeling bottle as APA where they made this acronym for something else is confusing customers, like I like belgian beers, but I was really looking forward to American not Antwerpen pale ale. Disappointed.

Ar5 Ap4 Ta5 Pa3 Ov10 Bottle (alias APA) . Pours with a dark amber color and a nice white head. Nose is yeasty, malty with some caramel and some fruits. Taste of sweet caramel and toffe, slightly roasted malt. Nice hops at finish.
