On tap @ UBF 2017. The aroma has roasty coffee, some chocolate. Black coloured beer with an off-white/beige head. The taste is light bitter, bit caramel sweet, has quite some coffee and a refreshing citric touch. Easy drinking beer.

Can from Mam and Dad’s Holiday, De Bierverteller, Utrecht, Netherlands. Black with a quickly disappearing dark tan head. It has a chocoalte and red cherry flavour with coffee notes followed by roasted malt, vanilla and more coffee and leather on the finish. Very good.

Aroma:
Medium aroma of malts, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, mocha, roasted malts and coffee.

Appearance:
Opaque dark brown/black beer with no/a slight beige/brown head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, vanilla, chocolate and mocha; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts and coffee.

Overall:
This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. Great flavour for its abv with some vanilla and coffee and mostly mocha. Could have benefited from some more carbo or some (more) hops for the head. Great appearance and palate as well, but the aroma could have been stronger.
