Unclear medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate hoppy, perfume, fruity, moderate yeasty, soap, spicy, fruity. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, hop bitter, fruity, soapy notes, soap bitter, sharp. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. From tap at Moeder Lambic. Pours hazy orange with a huge white head. Aroma is fruity, spiced and light estery. Fruity, sweet, light yeasty, bitter and spiced. Smooth spiced and mellow yeasty finish. Growing bitterness into an almost brutal bitter dry finish.

A Belgian beer I haven’t had, served in the US of A? In proper glassware? Holy cow! What’s going on? Oh wait, I must be at Armsby abbey. Draft. Hazy golden yellow color, huge white head with good retention and solid lacinf. Aroma of raw rising bread dough. Taste is peppery sourdough bread, very yeasty, citrus, bitter straw finish. Absolutely classic.

Light in body with fine carbonation. Bitter lemon rind to finish with hay and dried biscuits. Refreshing.
