Aroma roasted with a distinst hoppy freshness. Roasted malts, fruity undertone, little oily mouthfeel: decent stout with a nice bitter aftertaste.

Bottle. BB date Jul 2015; Drank May 2015 - Very Dark Brown in colour. Good tan head. Malty; roasty malts, coffee, some chocolate, caramel/toffee. Fruity; grapefruit citrus. Hoppy; slight piney hops. Roast malts dominate the fruity hops. Moderately bitter roasty and rather dry throughout. Decent. (2015-05-04)

330ml bottle. Pours dark mahogany with a dense tan head. Aroma: roasted malts, hint of chocolate and coffee. Taste: roasted malts, light chocolate note, coffee, disappointingly little hop presence but some light fruity notes. Bitter, light-medium bodied, alcohol very well hidden I didnt realise this was 8%. Really nice beer but with so little hops I feel its not a great Black IPA.

Bottle from the Bottle Shop in Bruges. Annoyingly this was significantly out of date when I bought it. Pours cloudy mahogany with a good foamy cream head. Very mild roast aroma. The taste has spice with creamy chocolate and a bitter finish. Not much hop presence, probably due to age. I would like to try this again with a fresh bottle.

On tap at Buskers in Rome-Italy. Dark coffee bean pour, tick ivory foam (retention). Nose: chocolate notes, a bit milky too. The hops pop up softly a bit too late. Mouth: a strange feel of under spirit cherries, carbonation is soft, body is clean and feels below the ABV. Black IPA?

Zwart bier met flinke lichtbruine kraag. Citrus, koffie, mout. Melig. Bitter, zuurtje in de nasmaak. Volle body.

Note en bouche de marrons braiser ! Une note damertume en fin de bouche intressant et tenace .

03-11-16 // bottle at Peck47, Brussels. Pours a deep brown beer. Hazy, with a small beige head. Nose: Light roast malts. Taste is quite light, had stronger Black IPAs. Though its good to drink. Roasty malts, with a light chocolate note. Gets overweighed by a harbal, light fruity hop bitterness.
