330mL bottle from International Beer Collector. 2014 vintage BB05/02/16 Hazy pale gold body, holds a rather attractive, well-sized creamy white head throughout. Interesting nose to it - bread crust & dough, white pepper, zesty lemon rind, touch of grass (hop?), floral undertones, pear esters. Surprisingly thick creamy body, rather sweet upfront but dries out, touch of acidity in the works too. Once again, there’s some intrigue to the flavours going on here - dough, leafy spices, cloves & pepper, citrus rind with an accompanying bitter note, sour grapes, green wood, slight earthiness lingers on the finish, slightly astringent like chewing on a bit of wood. Not sure what to think about it; oddly drinkable, slight bit wild, rustic, but i’m alright with that.

Corpo medio-leggero, ben carbonata, molto beverina.

Pour is golden in color, clear, and white head with good retention. Nose has a heavy malt and candied sugar aroma, notes of oxidation and stale caramel. Flavor follows suit, a bit oxidized and probably past its prime. Assertive sweet malt, older caramel, hints of sugar. Soft body, nicely carbonated, feel is still holding up.

Carbonazione poco vivace.

Hazy golden amber with generous fluffy white head. Lots of lemon zest in the aroma, along with cream crackers. The lemon comes through in the taste as well, with sweetened grapefruit, a little grass and water crackers. Nice dry and bitter finish. Light bodied, drinkable. Really excellent summer ale.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a huge white head. 4 Aroma of grapefruit juice, cracker dough, apricots, coriander seeds. Lots of grapefruit. 7+ Light bodied, highish carbonation. Not as dominated by grapefruit as suggested by the aroma - it’s prominent but sits just above apricots, crackers, white pepper, coriander. Just enough sweetness before the dry and fairly bitter finish to make it elegant rather than austere. Right up my street.
