COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Manneken-Penn is a 7.5% Belgo-American Dubbel whose name and label art were inspired by Philadelphia’s famed William Penn statue above City Hall, and Brussels’ landmark Manneken Pis sculpture of a playful naked boy – ahem – relieving himself. Manneken-Penn was made with oats, molasses and a combination of American and European hops. It is imported for PBW by Shelton Brothers and will be available both on draft and in 11.2 oz bottles.

Lubiere (14192) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 18, 2017
A hazed dark reddish copper ale with a thick frothy lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light treacle, dark fruits, light coffee, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with dark fruits, maple, subtle resinous hops, light mineral notes, very nice and solid after 3 years.

Tap at Monk’s Cafe. Pours hazy brown with a small, frothy off-white head, short retention with good lacing. Aroma is caramel malt, oats, molasses and earthy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with light hops and bitterness, molasses notes and a dry finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

hopdog (13102) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 11, 2016
Bottle. Poured a brown color with an off white head. Caramel, dark fruits / cherries, and lighter chocolate. Had a lighter tart finish that worked.

One of Belgian for Philly beer week 2013. A little sweet, but also balanced and nicely drinkable. Lots of thick lace.

DocLock (11110) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 10, 2013
Bottle and draft from Craft Ale House. Pours turbid orange, a deep and fairly bright orange, with huge 3-finger or so frothy off-white head. Nose is caramel malt, mild molasses, I get a creamy oaty smell late, and resiny hops. Tastes pretty rich, a bit cloying, with a heavy molasses and caramal flavor, backup hops, and mild resin. Mild late heat. Like an imperial ESB, but sweeter and denser.

KyotoLefty (10726) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 13, 2013
Draught at Fontainas. Medium amber-brown, cloudy, finehead. Smoky nose, caramel and chocolate. Chocolate, caramel, smoe flavor, extremely bitter finish. Smooth, full body. Good stuff.

Bouteille 33cl @ VBPF’13.

18/V/13 - 33cl bottle @ VBPF 2013 - BB: n/a (US export only) (2013-610)

Clear red to rust brown beer, big aery beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: hoppy, some canabis, caramel, ripe exotic fruits, fudge. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity start, caramel, dried fruits, mocha, bitter hops. Aftertaste: bitter, fruity, some alcohol, piny and resinous, sweet malty base underneath, with exotic fruits, caramel and fudge. Lovely beer.
