Clear red to rust brown beer, big aery beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: hoppy, some canabis, caramel, ripe exotic fruits, fudge. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity start, caramel, dried fruits, mocha, bitter hops. Aftertaste: bitter, fruity, some alcohol, piny and resinous, sweet malty base underneath, with exotic fruits, caramel and fudge. Lovely beer.
Hazy red-brown body, medium sized tan head, substantial lacing. Caramel, molasses, some earthy Belgian yeast notes, hints of booze in the nose. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, lingering finish with some astringency. Overall fairly enjoyable. ekstedt (6992) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 10, 2013

On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Hazy copper with a nice creamy head. Apple, citrus and toffee nose. Toffee more pronounced in the mouth, still harmonious fruity bitterness. Well-made. KyotoLefty (10721) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 13, 2013
Draught at Fontainas. Medium amber-brown, cloudy, finehead. Smoky nose, caramel and chocolate. Chocolate, caramel, smoe flavor, extremely bitter finish. Smooth, full body. Good stuff. changeup45 (1731) - Lake Mary, Florida, USA - MAR 26, 2014
Dark reddish-brown pour with a nice khaki frothy head on top. Good lacing throughout the grass. Candied fruit of plum, dates, raisins, and maybe even cranberry picked up quickly in the scent, followed by yeast, caramel, and light toast. Smooth, velvety body, with a yeast character, raisin bread, candi sugar, toast, and spicy fruity notes. Malty sweetness upfront turns a touch bitter and dry in the finish. Warming but not alcoholic but at the same time substantial. I like how the Belgian yeast comes out in the flavor and there seems to be the right amount of spicy/bitterness contrasting with the sweetness, for a Dubbel. This is a good beer. 60minuteman (1765) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 4, 2015
Hazel brown color from 11.2 oz bottle at The Beer Shoppe Malvern. Aroma of hazelnut, old house, nuts, must, chocolate and boozy Belgian malts. Taste is a half chocolate muffin and Belgian waffle combination dripped in oak tree sap and booze.
