Bottle at The Bottle Lab, Leek. Pours a black colour with a thick, frothy beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, some nuts, slight dark fruits and subtle yeast. Taste of roasted malts, dark fruits, blackcurrant, chocolate, some coffee, slight herbs and subtle yeast. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, fruity, chocolatey bitterness in the finish. A classic stout done the Belgian way. It’s a little thin but tastes good.

330 ml bottle. Bottled on 02/Mar/16. (K-Citymarket) Tampere, Finland.
Black color with a small to medium size foamy light tan head. Dry roasted malt, licorice, mild grain and some dryness in the aroma. The flavor is dry roasted malt, mild hops, mild bitterness, licorice, hints of coffee and dryness. Not bad.

Zilverenmaan (274) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - APR 21, 2017
Aroma of burnt malts not overpowering. Taste of burnt malts a bit faint as well but well balanced with a fine, complex and lingering bitterness in the finish with no taste of alcohol getting in the way. Mouthfeel thin. Actually very enjoyable if you take your time to appreciate it.

Flat out boring. Some dry maltiness, moderate carbonation. Some hoppyness, but lacking complexity and flavour.

Hamirubi (595) - Waarschoot, BELGIUM - MAR 17, 2017
UPDATED: MAR 18, 2017 33cl bottle at home (17 III 2017), shared with the Meetjeslandse Bierproevers. Finally got the chance to savour this beer at a quiet pace. A good dark stout with beige to even white, small collar on top. Good looking. A coffee and minth nose accentuate the typical stout flavours. There is some "speculoos" in there as well, making this brew quite appealing. The hoppy notes are rather subtle, yet present for sure. Now for the taste. The dryness really makes up for a pleasant mouthfeel. A great sensation for a pretty light and modest stout beer, with fizzy carbonation and a lovely, keen coffee dash. The ending is quite strong, for this light 4.5% ABV brew. Great modest dry stout, with grand hoppy sensations.
