Bottle 0.33l from Marlou Zonhoven. Pours almost black with a beige head and soft carbonation. Aroma is toasted malt with a sour touch. Taste is a perfect blend of roasted malt, bitterness and toffee sweetness. I am always impressed how these guys brew beer under 5 ABV with such a complex taste. Cheers. Bottle at Moeder Lambic, Brussels. Black colour with a brown head. Sweet caramel, coffee aroma. Flavour is malt, chocolate, coffee. czar (9085) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 30, 2013
pours very dark brown with a very nice creamy medium dark beige head, good retention and lacing. fresh roastiness and fruitiness, plums, coffee, hint of smoke, some belgiumness - spices mainly but also that dark candied fruitiness, hint of vanilla, maple, bit of earthiness and minerals. average to moderate carbonation, light to medium body - very silky too, impressive for the abv, slightly harsh grassy-resinous finish. i like what these guys are brewing. 20107589 (748) - randers, DENMARK - JUL 29, 2013

I like this one, another Brasserie de la Senne success. Dark brown with a light brown head that dispates as you drink. A light stout if you will, doesn’t ring the glass as other stouts do. Lightly toasted hop flavour, very quaffable.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of harsh roasted malt, some burnt espresso and dry bitter cocoa. Flavour is similar, bringing loads of roasted and burnt notes, with dry roasted malt and bitter burnt espresso. Quite a light body (duh - it’s 4.5%), but quite nice flavours. The roast and burnt aren’t too harsh, providing a nice oomph. Good stuff. EddyBeer1 (1058) - Brussels, BELGIUM - JUN 16, 2013
Brune opaque, mousse beige fine. Légère sécheresse. Avec une amertume propre à la Brasserie de la Senne, on y retrouve du café un rien sucré, des malts rôtis, de la réglisse et du chocolat noir. Cuso (8691) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - JUN 8, 2013
Bottle from trade with bartlebier, many thanks. Dark brown colored beer with medium espresso head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, earthy notes. Taste, roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate. Dark roasty bitter finish. Good.
