Pours a cloudy golden straw. Thick white head that thins out, then lingers throughout the drink.
Strong acetic aroma, letting you know this will be a bit sour. Might settle after it has some age on it. Little bit of malty sweetness hidden behind the vinegar. Can’t get much more out of the nose with the vinegar dominating. Slight woodiness.
A bit sour, as expected. A bit sweet, which is unexpected after smelling it. Not so much in the vinegar tartness - more lambic brett than anything else. Soured fruit.
Not as thin as I thought it would be from the ABV and aroma. Nice level of carbonation that just enhances the flavor. Any more and it would make the sourness stand out more. It is almost still, which is weird seeing the head that started this thing. The tartness lingers on the sides of the mouth and all over the tongue. And finishes with a bit of the sweetness.
Very drinkable. I really enjoyed this beer and hope that they will offer this one more than this one time. If not, try and get your hands on a couple and age one. EricE (1372) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 20, 2011
UPDATED: JUL 10, 2012 Bottle at Max’s. Fantastic beer, very reminiscent of RR Temptation. Smooth creamy oak aroma. Very vinous. Sour and funky. Tart flavor with apple cider notes. Very sour. Oak and wood noticeable. Veryh nice beer.

Big cantillon nose, lots of citrus, some light sweetness, white wine. Taste is very dry, moderately bitter, tons of chardonnay, tons of citrus, super hoppy... Imperial temptation! Fuck yeah! WeeHeavySD (3387) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 5, 2011
Bottle I believe this was from Tim, thanks buddy. Shared at paytoplay’s tasting. Pours orange with a bright white ring. Nose is great, sweet. Taste is sweet, lightly sour, fruity and nice. sthlm (790) - Blank, Alabama, USA - FEB 1, 2011
[Bottle, thanks BDR!] Pours hazy orange with an off-white head. Leather, lemon and funkiness are the primary components of the aroma. The taste is quite tart, with more leather, and citrus (more orange at this point). Good mouthfeel and finish length. Overall, a very solid beer, and one that I hope to revisit in a non-tasting setting some time. Thanks again, Brad!

MN Ratebeer Winter Gathering, January 29, 2011. Courtesy of BDR. Hazy gold color with no head. Banana and apricot aroma. Quite sour and tart flavor. Moderate wheat. Very light vanilla. Fruity aroma vanished. Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - JAN 30, 2011
Pour was hazy gold.
Aroma was earthy cheesy bretty, some light pale fruit. peach/apricot.
Flavour was tart lemon and under ripe apricot. Some biscuity maltiness. Nice tart lingering sourness.
Very nice. DalzAle (2038) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - JAN 29, 2011
Bottle shared by BDR. Slightly hazy yellow pour, very sour peach/apricot aroma. Flavor is plenty of sour lemon with no sweetness, biting aftertaste of lingering sourness. Loved this one, highlight of the night for me. DaSilky1 (2608) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 29, 2011
Bottle. Hazed orange, frothy off-white head. Gueuze-ish nose, dry cheese, with some acidic apricot in the very finish. Very nice nose. Flavors a bit less sour than the aroma led on...but very nice gueuze flavors..a little plasticy note here and there, but not too distracting. Body may be a bit thinner than it should be, but maybe its not and that’s the interestingly high abv here and I’m just confused. Very nice regardless. [Bottle] shared by bdr. Thanks brad! Pours a hazy gold with a small, soapy beige head. Aroma is nice and funky, cheese, musty, light hoppiness, and lactic acid. The flavor is moderately sour, reminiscent of Cantillon, quite dry, nice funk. What a nice beer. Very much like a gueuze, just lacking the body and a bit of the funk.
