Bottle. Pours crystal clear golden, medium creamy white head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is grain and grass. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, grassy. Medium body. Meh.

Best before was june 2015, this might explain my slight disappointment. Hazy yellow beer, grassy herbal notes, small finish.

One of the earlier Wadesda experiments by Senne, bottle from Belgiuminabox, cheers to Kurt. Strongly cobweb-lacing, egg-white, moussy, dense and very stable head over a straw yellow blonde beer with lively sparkling and greenish hue, turning more egg yolk-yellow and cloudy with deposit. Aroma of green banana, strong green apple peel, cucumber, apricot, red apple, straw, chamomille, breakfast cereals, fresh parsley, faint bubblegum, soaked white bread - in all, less hop-forward than I expected, but this is probably due to the age of the bottle as well. Refreshing, mildly estery fruity onset, hints of passion fruit, green kiwi, banana and pear, only vaguely sweetish with sourish ’berry-like’ counterbalance, somewhat fizzy carbo, light umami (dried mushroom) accent, dry grainy middle phase with bready notes but still quite ’full’ and serving well as a strong backbone supporting a surprisingly mild, gentle, very floral, grassy and spicy hop bitterness, drying the finish but leaving juicy bready malts to pass through as well as allowing some of the initial Belgian esters to linger. An earthy, resiny hop bitterness shows up later than expected but proves to be quite tenacious, and there is a hint of warming, ’jenever’-like alcohol as well but only way after swallowing the last drop - so not too obtrusive in any way. Pleasant and technically very accomplished, but style-wise this is just another Belgian blonde, nobody would notice the difference if this would be served on an outdoors café in summer, or something else of the same pedigree. Expected more from it, but perhaps it would have been a better idea to taste the later versions after this instead of before. Still, the technical perfection is undeniable, and frankly, I would not have expected anything less from de la Senne.

Bottled. 10cl sample. Aroma is grainy, light grass hops there. Hazy, yellow coloured beer with a medium white head. The taste is light bitter, very grainy, bit grassy. Dull.

Experimentjes van de la Senne, toch wel een bijzondere smaak en het is een tijdelijk bier.

33cl bottle pours a clear gold with some creamy, white head. Nose has sweaty armpit and honey, malt, straw, grass, lime. Flavor is lightly sweet with hum and honey, less funk, mild cheese. Dry finish. Maybe a bit too long in the bottle.

Some light florals and a little citrus. Pours hazy yellow with good head. Light tangy finish. Good balance. Bottle thanks to Mrchopin.
