Bottle. Plum aroma, pours a deep ruby-off black. Soft, smooth and sweet palate, with late chocolate and sweet sherry in the finish. Full bodied but wuthout the strong alcohol kick I expected. Great stuff.

75 CL bottle bought in the Brewery Malheur in Buggenhout. Dark brown with large beige head and medium carbonation. Soft aroma of roasted malt and some soft but nice aroma hops. Tastes sweet caramel with a nice bitter finish. This is a realy good dark Belgium strong beer. *****

A nice mild black IPA . This was a stand out at the Antwerp Beer Passion 2013. Has a slight foam. Great taste from start to finish.

Bottle from Beer Museum, Brugge, Belgium. Hazy black-brown in colour with a thick tan head. It has a rich sarsaparilla, chocolate and red fruity flavour followed by dried fruit, plums and currants on the warming, spicy finish. Excellent!

Sample from 75 cl. bottle @ Bierpassie Weekend XIII // aroma is a blend of Belgian yeast, round dark fruits, lightly roasted dark malts, chocolate // taste sweet of Belgian yeast blended with chocolate, sweet, dark fruits, spices, liquorish, dash of round hops & back // body is creamy & Belgian yeast // bit like a blend of a Belgian Dark Strong Ale and a sweet stout // I am digging this

Bottle 33cl. Opaque dark chestnut brown, one finger frothy beige head, recedes after a while to a thick layer, fair lacing; complex aroma of sweet malts, dark fruit (raisin, date), yeasty, lemon/lime, orange peel, light licorice note (zoete drop); taste moderate sweet, slightly bitter, with light fruity sweet and sour impressions in the background; full body, oily to creamy texture, velvet-like mouthfeel, soft carbonation; finish mild bittersweet, bit roasty, fruity undertones. Very interesting and very nice and very tasty beer.

4/II/2012 75cl bottle @ Brugs Bierfestival - BB: n/a (2012-82) Thanks to Klaas for sharing his beer!

Note: one of the revelations of the festival for me!

Clear brown beer, small beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very sweet fruits, passion fruit, red lace candy, forest fruit tea. MF: good carbon (bit too much), medium to full body. Taste: fruity start, forest fruits, strawberries, blackberries, bit sweet, then nice hoppy bitterness. Aftertaste: citrus, bit of forest fruits, bitter dry ending. Very nice.
