UPDATED: FEB 7, 2013 Tap @ Arendsnest, Amsterdam 06/09/12 Pours a hazy, dirty, dark brownish amber with a huge, thick, yellowish-brown head. Aroma is sweet caramel, dark fruit, slightly stuffy, some berries as well as raisin. Taste is dark, dried fruits: raisin, prune, light fig. Some caramel and syrup. Hops come through in the end with some pine and grapefruit as well as the pithy mixture with the caramel malt. Not very sweet though. Palate is full, a bit sticky, somewhat carbonated.

Bottle. Pours an amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy aroma. Sweetish malty caramel yeasty flavor. Has a sweetish malty spicy caramel finish.

Countbeer (6234) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JUL 15, 2012
Bottle: Medium white to off white head which disappears quick and leaves a thin half open/half closed white to off white lacing on top of an almost clear amber ruby colored beer. Smell lots of barleys like a barley wine, barley malts, some hops, dark fruits, hints of raisin and prunes, hint of iron, some flowers, caramel, light toffee and sticky bitter sweets. Taste is a smooth mix of dark fruits, lots of barleys, barley malts, malts, caramel, honey, some toffee, good bitter, some spices, hint of alcohol, a slight warmth, herbs and sticky grains. Aftertaste is mostly barleys and barley malts with some spicy herbs and alcohol warmth. Low carbo, soft light creamy mouthfeel, full body and a creamy almost oily ish texture. This must be one of the better, if not the best I have tasted from De Leckere (so far)

30 cl. bottle @ home. Pours cloudy amber with a thin off-white head. Some sediment from the bottle is also floating in the glass. Aroma of yeast, caramel and raisins. Taste is bittersweet with some slightly burnt roasted malts. Overall it has potential but somehow it tastes rushed and not as good as it can be.

Cloudy murky red brown beer with small beige head. Aroma is black fruit, raisins, licorice and some caramel. Taste is sweet at first, with overripe fruits, then ends somewhat bitter. Alcohol is noticable, but not disturbing.
