300 ml bottle, at home. Poured into a Chimay trappist glass. ABV 7,2%. A thin line of head, off-white in colour. Quickly gone. Little activity in the glass, in the form of tiny bubbles. Beer is quite hazy, with a deep dark, murky honey colour. On the aroma sugars, lots of dark fruits, caramel, some malts. Sweet taste, again some sugars and malts, along with spices. Becomes quite bitter with lots of hops on the aftertaste. The high alcohol is there, but not too offensive. Very dry on the palate, medium to full on the body and light to average carbonation. A pleasant surprise was this one, as I was sort of disappointed from my last De Leckere beers although I know they have some decent brews on their catalogue. This is surely one of them.

Hazy copper body with unstable tan head. Apple, yeast, apricot compote, cookie dough. Quite rough and very yeasty. Body is cleaner than expected. Caramel, bit sharp actually. Some alcohol in the back. Not very refined. Don’t think this will win over a lot of people. It’s merely okay. (30cl bottle from Eko Plaza)

[email protected] Hazy pale coppery colour with a mediumsized off-white fluffy head. Aroma is sweet fruits, some mild rubbery notes as well as mild yeast, spices and earthy/herbal notes. Flavour is being rather similar with a quite sweetish syrupy and mildly alcoholic tone to it. The sweetness nicely balanced it up as for the flavour.

Weinig kraag.
