Aromas of cherry with a some oak spice. Color is an amber red; the head is off-white but tinged with pink. Taste is quite dry and fairly sour; bitterness seems fairly low, though it may be somewhat masked by the sourness. Body is light to medium; carbonation is slightly lively; finish is long with cherry and a hint if vinegar from the sour fruit. Alcohol is less prominent than you might expect for the 8.5% ABV. Overall a good example of a sour fruit beer.

Bottle from Final Gravity in Roseville, CA. Pours bright cherry against a strong light. Head might be a bit pinkish. Moderate cherry/sour aroma. Med body. Seems a bit of a cross between a sour red/brown and a kriek. Sour is moderate. A good deal of cherry. Quite entertaining.

Draft at Murphy’s Law, The Hague. It’s a very manly hazy pinkish red with a big pink head. Real funky upfront, barnyard bretty with some dry cellar funk alongside and of course some tart, and slightly sweet cherries. Taste is light to moderate sweet and light moderate sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle at home, 29th July 17. Pours a deep dark red with a gorgeous candle floss head. Aroma is cherry sweets oak and stoned fruit. Taste is intense cherry, cherry skin and stone, wood, funk and tart lingering cherry finish. Lovely.

bytemesis (8585) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JUL 23, 2017
Bottle. pours clear ruby red, large creamy pink head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is hella cherry, oak. Flavor is medium sweet, huge cherry, oak, hint of earthy funk, lactic acid. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. Excellent, but really more of a fruit beer than a sour.

Ungstrup (37905) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 19, 2017
Bottled. A hazy pink beer with a pinkish head. The aroma has notes of cherries, almonds, and brettanomyces. The flavor is sweet with an acidic edge and notes of cherries, almonds, brett, and lemons, leading to a tart finish.

Desverger (11838) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 19, 2017
Bottle@Jens place - Red pour with pinkish white head. Fruity tart cherry prominence, cherry stone, light to medium body, intense cherry coming in, some nice cherry soaked wooden oak nuances in the palate, tart cherry fruity finish, can see why this is a top 50 fruit beer, lovely stuff.

Borup (14699) - Albertslund, DENMARK - JUL 19, 2017
33 cl. bottle. A reddish coloured beer with a mild pink head. Aroma and flavour of yeast, spcie, fruit, cherries and marzipan.
