COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cuvee Jeune Homme is an oak-aged bitter beer. Originally it had a slight citrus-bitterness due to its 4 hops and the subsequent dry hopping. It is acidified while it ripens for 4 months in oak wine casks. The daring bitter-sour combination is moderated by this ripening process and as a consequence it is a very pleasant drinking beer.
Ingredients: water, barley malt, sugar, hops, yeast. Re-fermented in bottle.

cloudy to clear orange, small white head. aroma is dominated by lots of oak, also faint sour notes, and malty and caramelly notes, very woody dry. Flavor is very woody oaky, super well rounded sort of belgian yeasty bretty base to a boozy woody clean yeasty top with just hints of flowery hops. much less brutal than most crazy belgian yeasty beers, and it tastes like lots more than 6.5%. i think i can taste grapes in the wood, the wood and wine flavor reminds me of some of the more special mikkeller beers also on wine barrels. If you like that kind of beer, this one is one of the better ones.

ForlornHope (439) - Hampshire, ENGLAND - SEP 28, 2016
Pours slightly hazy with a rocky white head which diminishes quite quickly. Slight aroma of citrus and leather. Taste is immediately quite sharp and acidic with a gentle bitterness to follow. Lots on the palate - sherbet, dusty lemons, oaky vanilla. Well-carbonated, not overly acidic, this is well-balanced and refreshing. Very drinkable and tasty.
