Very good pink head, leaving lace over clear ruby beer. Smoked cherry nose. Not overpowering, but intriguing. Like old cherry skins on alcohol. Nice, dry, if not sour cherryflavour - but neither artificial. MF has a lipsmacking sourishness then, that is refreshing. Quite some (fruit?)slickness, grist; long fruity aftertaste. Very good non-lambic kriek. Misses maybe just a tad sourishness in order to appeal to greatness. Why not try, and recreate the Zottegemse Kriek from Crombé times...?

Robe rouge opaque, mousse rosée, col moyen, tenue moyenne.

From a bottle at Oud Beersel during Tour de Geuze 2017. Pours a cloudy pale ruby with an off white head. Flavors of cherry. Refreshingly tart.

Bottle pour. Red crimson, some lace. Aroma is cherry, soap, sugar, oak, wood and perfumes. Very fragrant. Dark red color mirrors the sour fruit notes of cherry. Really nice dessert beer. I’ll watch this guy play piano while I drink my beer in an underground, hidden Belgian bar in Tokyo.

Bottle. Pours clear red, with a creamy, red head. Aroma is cherries, currants, oak, leather and tannins, as well as notes of chocolate. Medium to full body, with average carbonation. Flavour is tart, with balsamic vinegar, cherries and currants, as well as notes of strawberries, wood, leather and tannins. Lingering notes of wood and berries in the finish.

330ml bottle. Pours cloudy and the colour of cherry pie filling with a one finger pink tinged cap. A complex nose, cherry candy, yeast, mild vinegar, some definite funk, and a bit of the ol’ barnyard going on. Taste wise, tart acidic notes, light cherry candy, a tiny bit of orange peel, sugary candy notes, and light funk that heads into watery acidic notes with faint cherry, and bready notes with a bit of citrus, and cherry candy in the tart finish.

reddish colour , minimal pinkish head; aroma of sour cherry, balsamic vinegar cinnamon and wood barrel notes, taste of extremely intensive overripe slightly bitterish sour cherry, cinnamon, and woody notes, sour cherry tart and some balsamic vinegar; very good - thank you, kapusil!

0.33l bottle. Slightly hazy bright red body with a thin pink head. Aroma of sour cherry, sugar syrup, lemon zest and cinnamon. Taste of sour cherry, lemon juice, sugar syrup and some vinegar. Seems to be sweet first, but ends up dry and sour. I like it.

Bottle from Brugge and shared with Big G. Pours dark ruby red with a small pink head round the edge of the glass. Nose is rich with a spirit kick finished with red fruits. Taste is lighter than the nose suggests. Fruity with toffee and wheat. It has quite a creamy finish - very nice.

Bottle brought back from Bruges and shared with Pix. Pours a hazy red colour with a pink tinged head. Sour cherry aroma with some balsamic vinegar. The taste is similar. Plenty of balsamic and sour cherry with sherbet and a refreshing tart finish. Very good.
