Bottle, pours black with a light beige head. Chocolate, espresso, cocoa powder, light nutty notes. Moderate sweet and bitter, light creamy., very nice.

Very oily indeed! But this is truely a beautiful porter, more natural than their motoroil beer. Very decent flavour without the alcohol accent. Overwhelmingly peaty and grounded. I like this very much.

37,5cl bottle at home. Appearance: black with medium beige head. Aroma: coffee, chocolate milk, roasted malts. Taste: high sweetness and high bitterness. Notes of roasted malts, espresso, cacao nibs. Palate: medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2017 After a disappointment with the walnut wine version of this beer I was hesitant to give it another try. After hearing the recipe changed and was improved I decided to go for it. I'm glad I did. Well balanced, smooth and complex. Great porter!

Black with thin head. Aroma has some smoke and leather. Flavour is rich and boozy. Oily texture. Has some liquorice and tar.

Mooie zwarte kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt vol, mout, gebrande mout, koffie. Smaakt vol koffie, gebrand mout. Tikkeltje bitter.

Nice roast in aroma. This is a decent middle of the road Porter/Stout; no mind-blowing show-off beer. Nice roast, nutty and earthy.

Drank with Kaspar and Lennart @ Piet Huisman 14-07-17. Very solid porter. Full body, rich, bitter taste.
