At home shared from bottle sincere thanks to Maakun. Black with tan head. Dark roasted chocolate malts, massive coffee beans, balsamic, walnut, oak. Quite sweet, big bitter coffee roast and light rotten wood and balsamic sour. Over medium body, soft carbonation. Very dense, muddy, grainy texture. Soft carbonation.

Bottle shared. Black with fizzy dark brown head. Lots of licorice, drop, sherry, coffee, strong red wine, light marzipan, thick roasted malts. Quite some fruit, nice barrel and a deep roast and coffee underneath. There’s also a light sour berry touch which might be some wild yeasts. Over medium sweet, medium bitter and light sour. Full thick bodied with some very fine but fizzy carbonation. Lovely though it has a hint of infection, especially in the carbonation and taste.

Heel goed in balans. Puur genot dit bier.

Gitzwart, bruine foamy schuimkraag die lang blijft. voldoende koolzuur. Aroma: Zoetig, vanille, chocolade, koffieroast, geroosterde mout, denk idd noten. Totaal geen alcohol in het aroma. Smaak: Donker geroosterde mout, chocolade, veel koffie, droog geroosterde smaak. Vanille, hout, noten , aarde, alcohol zoetig met warmte.... Licht zuurtje en een wijnachtige hint. Donker fruit, rozijnen. Redelijk stevige roast bitter en een peperige hint. Volle body, zacht en dik romig mondgevoel, afdronk is donker geroosterd met fruitig zuurtje en droog. Mooie BA Imperial Stout!

Bottle at Murphy’s Law. Clear dark brown pour with a thin espresso head. Notes of freshly roasted coffee, cold brewed coffee, roasted malts, roasted nuts (he he he), dark fruit, sour barrel notes, a bit of vanilla, cocoa, dark chocolate and more roast. A great beer, right up my alley.

Dikke chocolade geur bij openen flesje. In het glas voornamelijk koffie aroma. Smaakt naar beide. Aardse tonen maar niet echt noten. Lekker vol, redelijk veel koolzuur voor z’n soort. Prima

(De Moersleutel Motorolie 10 - Walnut Wine BA) Bottle 375 ml at home, served into a snifter. ABV 12% Pours thick yes, as motor oil, totally black coloured body and a huge, thick dark brown head on top, with excellent retention. Aroma has lots of coffee, roasted matls, oats, light milky chocolate, coffee grounds. Taste has a faint sour touch, then lots of coffee, roasted malts, oats, chestnut, coffee grounds, chocolate on the finish, well hidden alcohol. Medium body, biting carbonation. Very good, looking forward to try more versions of this one.
