Pours a deep brown/black color with some off-white head. Sweet chocolatey aroma with a touch of alcohol. Sweet chocolately then roasty flavor with light alcohol notes and a lingering chocolatey finish that warms you going down. Notes: Bottle carried back from the Netherlands. Aged 4-5 years (forget the year it was brewed).

Huge light brown creamy longlasting head. Aroma is mild oxidized, caramel, dark malts, dark sugar, raisins, grass, weeds, minerals, rope, licorice. Taste is slightly sour-ish mineraly, grass, raisins, caramel, weeds, dark malts, alcohol, paper, ashes, minerals, old hops. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh and watery mouthfeel. Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pitch black body with a large creamy off-white head. Nose is licorice, dark fruits, raisins, port wine, chocolate and hints of dates and mild grainy notes. Taste is raisins, grains, dark fruits, chocolate, wet paper, grass and hints of coffee, dates and caramel. Medium to full body and medium to high carbonation. Nice, but way over the top age-wise; we aquired this beer in 2011 and it was already retired. History.
