Bottled, thanks fonefan! Almost clear copper colour. Rich mango aroma. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Peppery caramel and mango. Fruity with pines and marzipan. Warming bitter finish. SilverHaze (14) - SPAIN - AUG 20, 2013
Light body with pillowy effervescence and a dry crisp finish. I absolutely loved this beer, and it was one of the highlights of the event for me.

Bottle in Hamilton, NZ, shared with nate2g and Brent. Murky amber brown color, large fluffy caramel colored head. Aroma of dusty summer fruit. Taste is funky and dusty fruit. Sweet, malty and boozy. KansaiBeerLvrs (5190) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUL 12, 2013
A popular US brewery in Scandinavia is Hoppin’ Frog who are usually unavailable in Japan but did this collaboration with De Molen. It is a double saison (?) hopped like an IPA. 10.4% Bottled on July 12th, 2012 & opened on July 12th, 2013. The color is a very dark opaque brownish-gold which isn’t normal for a saison. Powerful fruity hop aroma with hints of grapes, apricots, kind of a tropical fruit vibe, nice. Kind of boozy flavor but nice like a rich Belgian beer, the malts provide a solid full body, slightly spicy as it should be for a saison. An interesting flavor mixing hops, malts & yeasty spice which is quite delicious with each sip highlighting something different. Top knotch. jackl (8201) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 20, 2013
Bottle @ Bruce’s. Picked up at De Molen during BBF. The pour’s deep amber with a small head. The aroma’s fart, farmhouse yeast. Sweet taffy. Lemon cake. The taste is moderately yeasty. Plenty of hot fruits, some peach and pear. Jammy plum. Moderate spices. Somewhat boozy on the finish. Active carbonation. Overall, a touch heavy. OK.

Bottle at Jack’s farewell at Bruce’s. Pours deep amber with a big, khaki head. Nose is very citric, with sweet toffee, banana bread, raisins and a hint of alcohol. Taste shows toffee biscuit, heavy citric sweetness, moreish toffee and raisins. Quite sticky sweet and resinous. Definitely for the sweet tooths and I’m one of them. Great stuff Leighton (21458) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 11, 2013
Bottle shared at Bruce’s during Jack’s Farewell Tour, Opening Night in London - big thanks to Jack himself. Pours hazy, deep amber with a large, strong yellow-tan froth head. Nose has some booze, bananas, a bit of yeasty bread, hints of tangerine. Medium to big sweet flavor, a lot of citrusy fruits orange, tangerine, mild alcohol kick. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Fairly warming and sweet to finish, lots of sugary citrus. A bit sticky sweet. Nice, if a touch heavy. SaintMatty (7408) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - MAY 22, 2013
750ml Bottle - Hazy amber/brown in colour. Grapefruit, toffee, raisins and pine in the aroma. Fruity, tangy and hoppy taste with raisins, apricot, grapefruit and yeast detected. PotjeBier (3448) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAY 19, 2013
75 cl bottle @ home, 10 months after bottling. Amber to red color, hazy. Big, dense, off white head with long retention and good lacing. Aroma’s: sweet fruit, pine, some citrussy sourness. Retronasal it’s herbal, drop/laurel, sweet fruits, piney hops, toffee/caramel, fruitcake. Flavor is medium sweet with a hint of fruity sourness. Body is rather full, thick, syruppy, velvetty. Alcohol is well hidden. Finishes herbal, hop-aromatic, but hardly bitter. More a barley wine than a saison, but I quite like it. Yorker (2007) - Herning, DENMARK - MAY 17, 2013
