COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Black Damnation series is a dark twist of Urban’s mind. His idea is to realize a dozen beers with the use of Black Albert, and over a period of two years, that are as black as hell, filty rich in the nose and with massive taste. Black Damnation is a blend with the use of Hel & Verdoemenis from Brouwerij De Molen. This is the first of the series.

50% of Black Albert was used with another 50% of H &V.

Black coloured beer with just a sliver of a dark tan head. Aroma is glorious & full of coffee, brown sugar, dark fruity chocolate. Flavours of H&V are quite evident, charcoal and mineral notes, chocolate, cocoa powder. Good coffee chocolate finish with good balancing bitterness and hops & sugar in the after taste.
2009 vintage 12% abv
2010 vintage 13% abv

Zlotta (3499) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - SEP 18, 2017
0.33 l bottle, best before March 2014 (must be about eight years old now), 13% abv, courtesy of bierkoning, thanks Edo! Pitch black with a large, fluffy, slowly diminishing, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty and a bit fruity aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, hazelnut and some oak. Quite sweet, malty, moderately roasty and slightly fruity taste of dark chocolate, mocca, hazelnut, vanilla, praline and some oak, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter, slightly earthy-dry, minimally tart finish. Medium to full body, creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Didn't expect to see the beer streaming out of the bottle, then feared it was infected, and it provided some tartish, fruity notes indeed. Still turned out to be a fantastic dessert stout, even if with a unique character and an increased drinkability.

weark (833) - Morges, SWITZERLAND - JUN 21, 2017

anstei (2449) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - DEC 10, 2016
Bottle, courtesy of Toni Fluekiger, BB March 2015 - First vintage from 2010. Pours super dark brown. Aroma is strong bourbon and vanilla, some booze, coffee and chocolate. Body is heavy, but with a low but fizzy carbonation not the strong sugar bomb it could be. Sweet with only a little roast or bitterness. Palate is long lingering sweetness, continuing all the flavours. Very, very nice, ages with grace.

DWF; Bottle 75cl, drunk at Hall Toll. Pours smal to moderate, black, somewhat lacing with a fading, tan head. Nose is heavy, roasted malt, tobacco, leather, moderate coffee, chocolate, dark dried fruit and light ash. Taste is heavy sweet and bitter, balancing with a sweet leather, forever chocolate lasting finish. Body is full, texture is thick, carbonation is soft.

kerenmk (4861) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - FEB 21, 2016
Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’ place. Thanks Vova? Very dark brown/black with a tan ring. Sour, gherkin aroma but then hot chocolate, carob and then beef jerky. A little sour in the mouth, bitter and deep taste, some ash and then a bit sweet chocolate. Medium-to-full body, slightly carbonated, a little oily texture, some alcohol and dry nuts.

MPA (999) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), DENMARK - JAN 31, 2016
Bottle, rated January 31. BBF March, 2014. A real gusher. Came out on it’s own. Huge brown head on top of a pitch black beer. Aroma of alcohol, plums, cocoa, hints of coffee and molasses. Thick mouthfeel with sweet flavour of chocolate and coffee notes along with a slight tart plum flavour. It settles with a roasted bitterness adding to the rather complex flavour, which seems to really come in different layers also making it simple to decipher. Great beer.
