Corked bottle. Dark brown color. Bready roastaroma with chocolate and a hint of peat. Full bodied yet bonedry. Thick mouthfeel. Slightly alcoholic but loads of flavor. Rye bread, malt, grassy hops, hints of peat and butter. Excellent! Borresteijn (7016) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - FEB 4, 2011
75cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Deep dark brown colour, big creamy pillowed off white head that lasts, looks very inviting. Aroma of chocolate, alcohol, dark fruits, light roasted malts. Flavour is light sweet, dark fruits, plain and milk chocolate, roasted malts, hint of coffee, alcohol, some flowery notes which are a bit lavender-like, hints of nutmeg and clove, bitter alcohol finish. Fullbodied, soft mouthfeel, just a touch too much alcohol imo, but very tasty. Cavie (4717) - Arlington, Texas, USA - OCT 10, 2011
