On tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. A black one, topped by a small, dark tan head. The aroma is very peaty, with roasted, tending towards burnt, malts and some vanilla. The flavor too is a bit too peaty I think, with some licorice, roasted malts, some bonfire, hints of vanilla and lots of sweetness. Even though it’s too peaty, it’s really lovely, with a warming feeling on the palate, a pleasant carbonation and a full body. The finish just goes on, in the same way as the initial flavor. Certainly a yummy beer, especially if you’re into the heavily peated ones. 120511 PhillyCraft (7707) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 5, 2012
Pours deep blacl no head or lace. Aromas and taste are seriously peated out, ultra roasty grains, roasted nuts, smoked almonds. For all the peat its very drinkable. fonefan (50498) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUN 1, 2012

Pours completely black with a small, creamy, beige head. Good lacings. Aroma has lots og peity notes, roasted, light chocolate. Medium to low carbonation, fine dry and oily mouthfeel. Flavour is super peity, lots of hard roasted malts, light chocolate, vinious. Simply too much smoke for me.
100ml, on tap at the first day of CBC. Jet black body. Initial decent brownish head, falling apart. Aroma of malt and whisky. The taste profile contains grainy malts, anise and dark fruits on a whisky backbone. Fat and dry malt-bitter finish. Heavy to drink on a beer festival, otherwise a lovely sipper (Copenhagen, 11.05.2012). Plovmand (8584) - Grindsted, DENMARK - MAY 23, 2012
