Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy opaque reddish brown with close to no head. Sweet and very oaky Bourbon aroma. Medium body, close to flat, more prunes and raisins than roast really, with a lightly tart edge - like in a Belgian Oud Bruin or something. A whiff of licorice and a very warming alcohol finish. Not so much an Imperial Stout, but very delicious. 200213 madmitch76 (24360) - , Essex, ENGLAND - OCT 30, 2013

Almost clear deep red - amber beer. Small cream coloured head. Smooth and slightly soft palate with light fine carbonation. This is one of those beers that are barrel aged to within an inch of it’s life! Smooth sweet malt, sweet vanilla, dry wood. Tangy bourbon with a touch of dark fruits. The malt base is somewhat subsumed. Sweeter bourbon before the smooth finish. Touch of spice. So very BA, so very drinkable!
Draft at 20th Winterbierfestival in Gouda. Dark maroon brown color, fluffy brown head. Aroma is whoa! Whiskey! And a bit of vaniqlla. Taste is sweet burnt espresso and booze. Very nice. cgarvieuk (24166) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 10, 2013

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2015 Bottle shared at Bruce’s birthday - picked up at Kris Wines I think. Pours clear brown with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma holds ripe berries, raspberry, some creamy toffee, bread. Big sweet flavor with lots of rich sugars, syrupy fruits, berries, bread, mild caramel, low bitterness. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Finishes sweet, mildly boozy, with more ripe and sugary berries, faint earthy bitterness can burnt bread. Novel stuff, pretty tasty. Imperial stout? No. More like American strong or something. Almost no roast, no chocolate, minimal bitterness. Still, tasty.
