UPDATED: NOV 10, 2013 33 cl. bottle split with Kraddel, courtesy of Kraddel. Bottled on 28/01/2013. Very dark, blackish pomegranate with almost no head, little sign of carb. Nose is mouldy, huge concentration of sugar, caramel, biscuit, incredibly sweet with some barrel with herbal tea in huge amounts,… Huge extremely sweet caramel, sugar, honey, intense sweet wood vanilla, lots of vanilla, taste is a bit disappointing but taste is incredible sweet syrup, pure vanilla, sweet tea with lots of sugar, sap, maple, pure good,… Very thick, almost boozy, little carb. Very impressive sweet goodness even if it is by no definition an RIS in any way & I am not even sure if the flavor profile is fully intentional but never the less the aftertaste on this one is divine even if this one is prob. not entirely intentional.

Bottled January 28, 2013. Lovely aromas of dark fruit, oak and chocolate. Incredibly heavy flavor. Taste is the same as the smell. Even a heavy bitterness in the aftertaste that fills the mouth forever. The alcohol is well been hidden and you know it barely. Truly an enjoyable beer. Yum! Bottle from Ale & Hop, Barcelona. Dark brown cola, beige small head. Amazing aroma of marcipane, oranges, chocolate. In the mouth the same flavours, lovely vanilla and marcipane, touch of tart fruit. World class.

No head; beautiful brownish deep-ruby beer. Dazzzling complex nose of fruity booze and old wine; touch of acidity, as clove-picked oranges, preserved in wine; as sangria made with Grand Cru, instead of plonk. Little stout characteristics left, fruitiness and Bourbon taking over. Vanilla remains rather restrained - more specifically retronasal. Finish has hot alchol and fusels. Very oily-slick, warming feel, medium to well-bodied. Ow - this ranks amongst Menno’s best!

Bottle from bierkompass.de.
Almost black color with medium beige head. Flat carbonation. Strong bourbon aroma together with earthy and wooden notes. Roasted malt, chocolate, bourbon in taste together with notes of coffee, dark berries, burned sugar, oak. Strong alcoholic bourbonr finish with milk chocolate. Extremely tasty sipper.

bottled on: 28.01.13 drank on: 25.07.15 L: -pours a hazy dark brown with ruby tinges and almost no,beige-coloured head -very low carbonation visible S: -plums,bourbon,faint vinegar, vanilla, coconut, raisins, figs, strawberry jam, spices, herbs T: -plums,raisins,figs,bourbon, jam, slight coffee, slight toast F: -low carbonation -full body -noticable alcohol, but not boozy O: To me,this is more a Barleywine than an Imperial Stout. And it’s great

Very dark, very small tan head. Bourbon, vanilla and wood in both aroma and taste, just what I like! Body is a bit thin and carbo could have higher.
