Fľaša od minipivovar.sk. Mútna, tmavo jantárová farba, slabá biela pena. Vôňa karamelu, sladká, prezreté ovocie. Chuť sladová, sladká, jemne karamel, prezreté ovocie. Horká dochuť. Alkohol pekne skrytý.

Sweet, even too sweet. Boozy, way too much booze in aroma and taste. Just like hard abv. Thanks Alex.

Bottle at home, 30th May 16. Pours a deep amber orange, aroma is caramel, burnt sugar. Taste is sweet, burnt sugar, ABV hidden well, it drinks smoothly, really nice

33cl bottle at home from thebeershop-online.com. Nose is fruity, floral, caramel. Body is opalescent ruby brown, head is small, beige, creamy, average lasting, good lacing. Aroma is molasses, floral, honey. Heavy sweet, light bitter, light fruity sour. Finish is long lasting fruity medium sweet. Full body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Not that heavy, a bit too sweet, nice one.

Bottle brought back from a trip to Amsterdam. Pours a slightly hazy deep amber colour with a nice big frothy cream head. Slightly perfumy flaoral aroma with citrus, apricot and a little detergent. The taste starts a little detergenty too with stewed fruits, toffee, cough syrup and bitter pine in the finish. Lovely oily texture. The slight soapiness slightly spoils what is otherwise a great beer.

phaleslu (10731) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 18, 2015
Draft at Ei8ht Ball, served in a flight. Pours a hazy amber with a small off-white head that settles into a ring. Notes of caramel, toffee, toast, candied nuts (peanut brittle?), graham cracker, and light citrusy bitterness. Medium bodied, with moderate to medium carbonation and an intensely sweet mouthfeel. Just too much.

Borefts 2014. Red/brown with small white head. Sweet malts and a lot of spiciness, dried fruit, yoghurt and cinnamon. Syrupy candy. Backlog from 2014/09/27.

Draft to taster at Ei8ht Ball. Pours a cloudy caramel brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet caramel malts, toffee, brown sugar, dark fruits, plums, sticky, this is a malt bomb, but I like it, no sign of the abv.

Bottle. Teku. Deep amber with small to medium, dirty white head. Poor head retention, medicore lacing. Heavy malty aroma, mainly caramel and brown sugar, but also candy-like, toffee. Medium tropical and dried fruits aromas. Taste is mainly sweet caramel-like, but not so sweet. Medium to full body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, very nice and velvety, little alcohol warming, finish is medium and malty. In overall malty-packed barley wine with well hidden alcohol and nice hoppy aromas.
