Borefts Beer Festival IV. Day 2. Post Fest tasting in Jan & Charlottes Room. Clear brown beer, big pale tan head. Very mild dark malts - tangy, almost sour. Little bit of smoke. Semi dry finish. All right.

Pours deep chestnut brown with red edges. Large, staying, creamy beige head with big bubbles in it. Aroma has sweet chocolate, light liqourice, mild astringent roastiness. High carbonation, quite light mouthfeel. Flavour has roasted malts, soft blackberries, dark chocolate. Mild cocoa and light smoked dry malty finish.

Clear dark red brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, mild coffee, dusty coffee, earthy dark malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, caramel, toffee, chocolate malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
