Bottle. Opaque dark brown black beer with a small beige head. Aroma is malty with notes of caramel, coffee, chocolate, port wine and cherries. Flavor is malty with notes of caramel, herbs, chocolate, port wine, cardboard and cherries. A bit overripe but still fantastic.

Bottle shared at the Oirschot tasting. Pours black with a tan head. This one is surely showing some age. Drinking almost like port. Big sweet malts, liquorice, raisins, dates, dark chocolate, vanilla, old coffee, cognac, caramel. It’s probably past it’s peak but I’m loving the way this turned out.

Bottle sampled at RBWG 2011 from backlog notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a smaller tan head. The aroma and flavor had dark chocolate, dark fruits, caramel, char, cocoa, coffee, wood, booze, vanilla, Port character, a solid treatment of this beer.

18cl bottle enjoyed at home, recieved in a trade. poured a slight murky black colour with a small beige head, roasted malts, licorice, raisins, lot of plums, soy sauce, oak, getting some nuts, cognac sweetness, still rounded and full flavoured. some green peppers, sweet grape skin, some alcohol depth, but it’s now definitly falling off. but stil very enojyable!ice to finally try this gem!

Bottle shared by Todd. Thanks! A: Mahogany brown, yeasty looking body with a mocha head. N: Soy sauce, cocoa, espresso, grass, smoke, and charred wood. T: Smokiness and grassiness. Some sweetness - I expected this one to be a bit of a malt bomb, but it wasn’t. M: Medium-heavy body, no alcohol. Some stickiness. O: A fine beer, but I preferred the Bourbon-vanilla Dark Lord and Narke. Not really a fair comparison; I would probably want to try this one again.

Really small bottle (my girlfriend actually laughed when she saw it and asked me if it was hot sauce) sent to me a while back from Botlz555, thanks man! Thick black pour with a tiny layer of chocolate mocha head. Aroma is dark fruit, oak, very boozy, and port like. Taste is sweet brown sugar up front, syrupy mouthfeel, soft carbonation, dark fruits, oak, ash, sticky sweet aftertaste, exceptionally smooth finish with absolutely no hint of the booze. Wow, this is so well rounded and smooth, absolutely love it.

(330ml bottle) jet black, creamy dark head that looks like nitro. Nose is a bit papery, chilies, dark cocoa. Taste of milk chocolate, cream, chilies, medium heat, smooth and velvety texture.
