Bottled. A pitch black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, alcohol, chocolate, and lemony fruits. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roated malt and alcohol, as well as medium notes of wood, and chocolate, leading to a very dry, roasted, bitter, and alcoholic finish. Thanks pinball for sharing. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 23, 2011
Bottle 18 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a pitch black with a brownish head. Hard roast nose with a vinous barrel-like touch. Massive body, very hard roast - almost coffeeish - vanilla, metal and dark fruits. Again a little vinous. Hard roast all through the finish. Delicious. 230311

Bottle shared by someone at RBWG 2011, thanks douglas88 (9187) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 10, 2011
Appearance: Black with a medium sized tan head and some lacing
Aroma: Roasted malts, dark fruits and chocolate
Taste: Coffee, roasted malts, dark fruits and coffee
Another awesome brew thanks to Dak. Had this right after the Steam Edition, the steam was a big better I thought. Pours a dark almost totally black hue with a medium brown head. A rich nose of coffee, cocoa and roast. The flavor is dominated more by heavy coffee, chocolate and cocoa than roasted malts, quite dry. Very nice. thewolf (12595) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAR 9, 2011

Utterly black with a magnificent, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma is powerful, light vinious, cocoa-beans, coffee, oak, dark chocolate, light vanilla. Not that sweet, which is a good thing. Highish carbonation, oily yet fairly light mouthfeel. Flavour is wonderful, viscous chocolate, cocoa dryness and vanilla sweetness. Light coffee notes with a nice oaky and vinious presence that balance everything nicely. Reminds me of Black Isak a bit. Great.
33cl, black waxed bottle courtesy of madmitch76. thanks, ken! pours a deep, dark, cola-brown with a thick, two-finger, cocoa brown head with great retention and sticky lace. aroma is amazing with huge, dark, roasted malts, cigar ash, licorice, and dark, cacao chocolate with notes of fresh roasted coffee, earth, and subtle hints of whiskey, dark fruits, and peat. flavor is beautiful de molen goodness with pure, rich, dark chocolate, roasted malts, and charred coffee beans backed by subtle oak barrel, toffee, and ripe figs with hints of salty licorice, ash, and spicy whiskey. palate is full bodied but briskly carbonated with the signature dry, rich, roasted finish of the de molen stouts. overall, an outstanding barrel treatment of the great black damnation.
