Cognacsfatlagrad IS. Hälften Struisess Black Albert och hälften Mennos H&V. Lite rostat kaffe, bär och en lagom dos len choklad. Riktigt fin fruktighet som gör att jag börjar tänka i banor av smaksatt choklad. Men det finns även mörkt socker samt den där skvätten rostat kaffe man aldrig undkommer. How: Bottle, tiny nip, consumed when over one year of age. Bottle sent to me by Doodler, thanks a lot Scott.
The look: Pitch black body topped by a very small persistent tan head.
In long: Strong nose pushing forward burnt dark fruits, chocolate shop smell, vanilla and soy sauce in a fog of alcohol fumes. Taste improves an already inviting aroma. Medium roast, black chocolate, burnt black cake, cooked dark fruits, vanilla beans, salty liquorice candy, nice oak, good barrels integration that is far from overwhelming the beer. Nothing particularly original in the flavors of this beer, what makes this one a stand-out is the overall balance between the different flavour elements, the rich and lively mouthfeel with perfectly levelled carbonation, Excessively easy to drink for a 10% beer. Just as good, maybe even a little better than their Hel & Verdoemenis 666, this Black Damnation 666 might just be my favourite De Molen creation so far (and they make A LOT of beers). .

From tiong. Thanks, man! Dec 5, 2012 batch had Oct. 2013. Deep black. Nose of anise, dark roasted and burnt malt, cola, vanilla. Fudge throughout, burnt malts, coffee, vanilla, licorice, barrel. Finish is incredibly long...bitter and sweet, boozy. Amazing balance. Creamy mouth feel with a lot of carbonation. Just keeps getting better. Bottle says 10.5%. Bottle from Hopduvel. Palate is incredibly rich and full and balances sweetness with roasty notes, bitters on the end.

Rating # 6666. This just seemed the right beer for it. Tap @ BBF 2010. Confit fruit, soy sauce and dark chocolate in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with roast, ash and dark chocolate.
