Aroma is chocolate fudge, toffee, wood, light roast and some sweet vanilla-caramel notes. Mouthfeel is beautifully rich, complex, and warming. Black color, small head. Nice aroma, chocolate, delicate smoke, cardboard. Round mouthfeel, delicious chocolate flavor, sweet, warming alcohol, tobacco.
Bottle shared at the Oirschot tasting. Pours black with a tan head. This one is surely showing some age. Drinking almost like port. Big sweet malts, liquorice, raisins, dates, dark chocolate, vanilla, old coffee, cognac, caramel. It’s probably past it’s peak but I’m loving the way this turned out.

Malty, roasted nose with chocolate truffels, cocoa, black coffee, liquorice and hints of oak wood. Slightly vinous. Roasted, malty taste with notes of black coffee, chocolate, cocoa, oak wood and a dry finish with a solid cocoa bitterness. Full body, quite dry and woody. Quite powerfull, but still in very good balance. Lovely beer! (This rating was entered while listening to the gentle tones of Lamb of God’s "Walk With Me in Hell", which kind of makes sense.) finol (3453) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 7, 2010
