Rating # 6666. This just seemed the right beer for it. Tap @ BBF 2010. Confit fruit, soy sauce and dark chocolate in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with roast, ash and dark chocolate. Long confit fruit and alcohol aftertaste. Very complex and delicious. A second sample on day 2 of this event tasted even better.
Bottle. Opaque dark brown black beer with a small beige head. Aroma is malty with notes of caramel, coffee, chocolate, port wine and cherries. Flavor is malty with notes of caramel, herbs, chocolate, port wine, cardboard and cherries. A bit overripe but still fantastic. Svartvit (1005) - NETHERLANDS - JAN 18, 2017
Bottle shared at the Oirschot tasting. Pours black with a tan head. This one is surely showing some age. Drinking almost like port. Big sweet malts, liquorice, raisins, dates, dark chocolate, vanilla, old coffee, cognac, caramel. It’s probably past it’s peak but I’m loving the way this turned out. alexsdad06 (11223) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - SEP 9, 2016

From a 33 cl bottle courtesy of Kermis. Bottle marked "best by March 2014. Pours s murky cola brown with a tan head. Roasted malt nose. Flavors of coffee, licorice and roasted nuts. Bitter roast finish. This has aged well. Sarlacc83 (2432) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 3, 2014
Bottle shared by Todd. Thanks!
A: Mahogany brown, yeasty looking body with a mocha head.
N: Soy sauce, cocoa, espresso, grass, smoke, and charred wood.
T: Smokiness and grassiness. Some sweetness - I expected this one to be a bit of a malt bomb, but it wasn’t.
M: Medium-heavy body, no alcohol. Some stickiness.
O: A fine beer, but I preferred the Bourbon-vanilla Dark Lord and Narke. Not really a fair comparison; I would probably want to try this one again. Benzai (16918) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - OCT 29, 2014
Bottle @ Café Buitenlust, Oirschot. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized light brown head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, quite strongly liquor, some roast, lightly tar. Taste malts, lightly roasted malts, liquor, lightly liquorice, tar, bitter. Roasty bitter finish. Full body, medium carbonation. kbudd19 (1022) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 18, 2014
Really small bottle (my girlfriend actually laughed when she saw it and asked me if it was hot sauce) sent to me a while back from Botlz555, thanks man! Thick black pour with a tiny layer of chocolate mocha head. Aroma is dark fruit, oak, very boozy, and port like. Taste is sweet brown sugar up front, syrupy mouthfeel, soft carbonation, dark fruits, oak, ash, sticky sweet aftertaste, exceptionally smooth finish with absolutely no hint of the booze. Wow, this is so well rounded and smooth, absolutely love it. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 10, 2014
(330ml bottle) jet black, creamy dark head that looks like nitro. Nose is a bit papery, chilies, dark cocoa. Taste of milk chocolate, cream, chilies, medium heat, smooth and velvety texture.
