Bottle sampled at RBWG 2011 thanks to Kyle I believe, from backlog notes . Pours dark brown to black in color with a smaller tan head. The aroma and flavor had dark chocolate, dark fruits, caramel, char, cocoa, coffee, wood, booze, vanilla, licorice, I don’t think this was as refined as the 666 edition, still a solid treatment of this beer. bottle shared by Dak. Wow this one is old, oxidation is present. Some cardboard sharpening up those danish malts. Roastyness is all but gone. This is a dying beast. MrHangover (4552) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - DEC 20, 2014
Bottle @ THT December, courtesy of Random Stranger. Stoked to try this. Pours a pitch black beer with a small beige head on top. Aroma of coffee, slight vanilla, bourbon and loads of roasted malts. Flavor is very sweet and quite complex. The age has given it some vineous notes in the background, giving it a very light acidic note in the aftertaste. The front is dominated by bourbon and molasses, kept together by vanilla and caramel. Great balance, great age and great beer!! JulienHuxley (5807) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 19, 2014
Bottle at DOST. Opaque black pour with thin brown foam. Aroma is nice and boozy, lots of licorice, light cocoa, whisky. Taste has tons of cocoa, whisky, winey, port, licorice, salt licorice. Palate is full bodied, rich but not cloying. Pretty amazing stuff, even today. kermis (13421) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - DEC 19, 2014

Poured deep dark brown with no head. Aroma of booze, dark fruit, liquorice and toasted malt. Full body, flavour as the aroma, vanilla smooth, lightly bitter. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - APR 13, 2014
Rating #7000, 9th Anniversary on Ratebeer! 750mL bottle. Poured near black with a tight-bubbled toasted dark brown head. The aroma picked up burnt chocolates, licorice, cane sugar, and a touch of soy.. smoky whiskey was very nice on the back of the nose. The flavor opened with tangy, greener coffee and woody notes, with buttered cocoa, baker’s chocolate, licorice, and a bit of molasses following.. sharper whiskey laced throughout.. burnt cocoa, coffee, and Madeira on the long, warm, lightly tangy finish. Heavy-bodied with smooth, rolling carbonation on the palate.. buttery feel on the middle.. sharp at times on the edges, mostly barrel-related.. overall a good feel and tasty brew, but it wasn’t as cohesive as I expected. gEUS (1637) - Linden, BELGIUM - FEB 25, 2014
750 ml bottle - sampled at Jeffo’s place, next to the "straight" BD. Overall less impressive than the Original, there was something ’off" in both aroma and taste. Aftertaste was slight hoppier.
